Bovingdon autojumble on Sunday

This ones quite local to me, I usually miss it but this time I'm very tempted to book a pitch, I recently made a half arsed start at sorting through stuff left over from my ebay days with autojumbling in mind, maybe everyone will leave me alone tomorrow and I might get to load the van. I guess I'll be lucky if stuff sells for a fraction of what chod fetched during ebays glory days, but I'd burn it all before going back to those piss taking greedy scum, I won't so much as give them a sniff of the steam from my piss. 10-ish years I was using them, copiously and constantly. Are you listening ebay? That was a decades listing fees, final value commission, and in later years paypal commission, helped you grow big, too big for your boots. You're muff cabbage ebay, MUFF CABBAGE!!

The Uxbridge Auto Show is on in a couple of weeks and I have heard the pitches for the autojumble are quite resonable but haven't looked into it.

Thanks for the heads up, Uxbridge is one I've always meant to but never been to, only hear about it afterwards. I'm going to push all my old tat into a big pile now and if I can get my arse out of bed early in the morning I'll do it, if not then it's ready for Uxbridge.

I did it, got up at 7 and it was dead, hopeless, tumbleweed rolling past. Approx 20 punters, if that, and half of them traders perused my tat, although I took 80 quid which is incredible considering. I contemplated pricing everything cheaply to get shut but in reality that just means the tasty stuff is cherry picked and I'm left with the bulk, so I priced stuff at a level I would be happy to pay if it were something I wanted.

A trader was telling me I should do Beaulieu in September, reckoned I'd sell all my tat and get a good price, said that most of my tat was stuff he never sees at jumbles anymore, I'll have a think about that, bit pricey, bit of a drive could be good though. meantime I'll hit Uxbridge 17th July

I took a pic

I was at this. Pretty dire turnout like you said but that's usual, ended up staying there for a bit longer than expected as the bottom rad hose on the A60 sprang a leak which soon quickly turned into a full-on coolant piss-out, fortunately a stall almost dead opposite where it was parked had a new one for a quid and I managed to scrounge some Jubilee clips for it off some nice old boy who was clearing out his council lockup, phew!

A display area was allocated to those who showed up in old/interesting vehicles, here's my shots of the interesting stuff

This is used daily as a work vehicle for a lawn mower repairman!! Guess his budget cannot stretch to some over restored K-reg Moggy van.

Was offered this for £500 back in January and it's now in the hands of an ex-racer. It's been resprayed recently so I'm guessing it's not being used for an OMG PRE 68 COMEBACK SPECIAL anytime soon. :)

This has recently been recommissioned after being off the road since the 80's, does look totally stock until you see the twin exhausts.
