I'd be looking into having these laser cut.

Today Ben ground off the filler on the front and rear wings. Underneath he found solid metal that had been brazed in:-

Small hole below the fuel filler

Front left floor will have to be fabricated and repaired though

I had four goes at repairing the rear wheel arch this week.

Attempt 1.

I tried to weld a bead onto inside so that I could radius the outside. The problem is that my grinder just blew through the side of the thing.

Attempt 2.

I welded all the tabs together but it bowed out away from the body line

Attempt 3.

Much fatter tabs, and this time I welded the ends of the tabs to some bar so that it couldn't distort. Sorry no more photos.

I managed to keep the shape but I just couldn't weld the tabs together without blowing holes in it.

Attempt 4.

I found that a wide piece with a narrow corner could be still be bent.

Time to swallow a brave pill
