Your top wiring connector on the stereo looks fairly standard and common with some other cars of the era (Ford, Renner) the label on the back suggests the two larger terminals are earth and live - not sure whether switched live or permanent live. The other three are illumination, then another live and a 12v out power aerial feed I think, though not 100% sure it’s in that order. 

The four bottom pairs of sockets look like they are the speaker feeds, again a standard connector ( the name escapes me ) and new ones readily available on eBay.

I see there are another six terminals to the right of the fuse which look unfamiliar. At a guess maybe related to some form of amplifier or additional speakers, tweeters perhaps?

ill need to have a proper look into it, and get a Haynes.

the Ariel lead survives in the car undamaged so that’s a bonus
