Looks these are 'normal' auto boxes rather than tiptronic? The latter would be good for the ML320, it seems to take forever to accelerate when on the move.

I bet it is lovely to drive, they seem a very understated car and a nice place to be in.

722.6, not even sure it's significantly beefed up. This has no problem at all accelerating ;)

I'd definitely give time to a nice relatively unrusty ML320 - though all the broken seat plastics on mine mean the nice is "mostly nice".

But it's getting better.

I have deprived my ML55 of different originality in my quest to restore originality! It no longer has Isofix...

I could have rebuilt the seat but have elected to strip the old one down totally.

Learning a bit about how it works, and how very repairable it is generally, and pondering what I could do with all that buffalo leather. Maybe knit a new buffalo.

However the lap belt has not gone to waste - I wanted a seatbelt for an outfit I'm working on and it's perfect!

(The armrest is already a near-perfect size for a phone and stuff carrier)
