I think the biggest indication of whether or not a car is reliable or not is if anything is said, at all.

 

If you get complete silence when you ask someone what a particular car is like, they're either ignorant or their whip hasn't gone wrong.

 

I'm going to hang my prejudices up at the door temporarily. Testing a Mk5 next week, and John's coming round tomorrow for me to have a go in his dizzler.

 

The likelyhood of me buying a Golf isn't high, I just want to understand why they're so sought after and highly regarded. I don't actually think I could own one. I'm just really keen to understand. Or will I just not get it?
