Marina dies so another may live to toot another day

Just been on Ebay, and I know the camara does often tell massive porkies, but I can't believe someone's breaking this one. For a bloody horn. It looks solid and in half tidy shape. Must be someone who'd want it, being an 1800 Super an' all. Wonder if it's still complete?Ebay item number 130336935911Sorry, can't seem to link it to this page (bet someone on here can though). There's also an A60 Cambridge estate and an early Humber Sceptre listed under 'Classic Car Parts' on Ebay - just type in 'breaking' as your search and you'll soon find them. They look worth rescuing. I've just emailed the sellers of each just to find out the score....

Just had a reply from the guy breaking the Marina. Two words only: Scrappage Scheme. So there goes another one. Obviously, it must have had an MoT to be eligible, and if it's as smart as it looks in the pictures then another rare classic bites the dust to help the Korean car industry or whatever. It's languishing in a yard near Dursley, Gloucester - so probably worth a visit if you're a Marina nut in need of panels/trim etc. Bet it gets weighed in soon too.

They list single items to beat Ebay's rules. So if you bidded, you'd get the horn, or usually a wheel nut. That way they can advertise the car as parts.

I do that all the time - sell loads of Ebay off that 99p light switch, and Ebay get absolutely FUCK ALL in return. Boo Hoo.Shame about the poor Marina. They're crap, but it's lasted all that time which means someone has cared for it. Then some dozy prick threw it away.
