assuming its the same as my 02 reg one...........its easy enough, just a spanner for the tensioning pulley, if you lose the layout let me know as I can post a picc up of how it runs

HELPPPPPPPPP!!!i've got the belt as it should sit but how does it adjust as the alternator etc is all in a fixed position???there is a sort of tensioner which when undone releases and moves but can i get it to go around far enough to lock back in place, can i bugger...what am i missing..its an 05 reg diesel if that helps...diagram of belt would be nice please to make sure i've defo set the belt up rightthanks guys

OKm if its a 1.9 diesel its a DW8 engine, if its a 2.0 its a DW10. The tensioner pulley is slackened by puting a spanner on the centre nut and using it as a lever against the tensioner spring.

no its diesel, DW8 top left looks the closest but still cant get the tensioner past a certain point....

tensioners can sieze up, give it a squirt or two of WD40 and just keep working the tensioner back and forward, I had this problem on a VW caddy the other day as well Is the belt very short on lenth?

no same length as the one that came off just always seems to need another quarter of a turn but cant get it to go that far

did the right thing, sent him to peugeot least if they break it, it wont be my problem defeated
