I took a look at the annual swap meet and car show today. Weather for this was the usual freezing cold and damp. But it was worth a look. ENJOY !

Belgian built DE SOTO about 1953. These were sold new here.

1948 DE SOTO fluid drive

1958 HOLDEN van

Bikes were both BSA

I think Rootes looked at this before they built the Californian.

Mr Regie Ritmo's questions answered,1. WRONG WRONG WRONG.. These little islands can be bloody cold, and they are right now (News report that Napier-Taupo and Taupo-Waiouru highways have been closed by snow as I typed this)2. A Ford Falcon about '96. The rest of it was maintained to a similar standard.3. A Holden Torana GTR about '70 related to an HB Viva. The only noticeable part is the front doors!

I once spent half an evening trying to explain to a blonde female friend why Australia is warmer at Christmas than in June, and although she eventually nodded her understanding I dont think it really quite sank in
