I think there's a plan to save* the NHS, hence the bad news stories being fed to the media. The plan will involve private investors who will improve efficiency by not bothering to actually treat anybody.

It would be impossible to reduce efficiency currently. it's amazing the way things are thought up to waste money but either doing imaginary stuff that has no purpose or just doing things so badly they cost eleventyseven times more than they should.
