For Sale - Volvo 440 Si CVT! - £350

It's got tax until April - MOT until June! I've had this up for sale before, but my folks want their driveway less looking like an Aldi car park. Think this is the best place to do it as RR seems to be worse than ebay or Gumtree for dreaming timewasting gobshites recently.

I could do with this shifting ASAP as it appears I have bought another Astra mk3 GSi.

Everything works - apart from the heated seats. Don't know why, think the wire is damaged - I don't see the point in heated seats, only making you feel like you've wet yourself. So having non working heated seats is a bonus.

Radio system is great - it has Bose speakers, and I know all those 'audiophiles' (paedophiles more like) says these are rubbish, but they sound fine. What do you want? Steve Wright sitting in the back seat doing his daily show while you drive home? That's not going to happen. It's either these Bose speakers, or nothing, you ungrateful bastards.

The interior is nice and comfy - it has those stupidly soft front seats and the heater is nice and warm - I put a new thermostat in a couple of months ago. You can also press the heated seat button, and then do what we all do and empty your bladder into the soft sponge. As the seats no longer heat up.

Engine is 1.8 SPi Renault, it has a CVT gearbox - overall the car is incredibly smooth to drive, and guarantees I'll have an auto as my next car.

It's not fast, but isn't a slouch - it's a Volvo that is an auto. MPG is good, I'm getting 40mpg. It has PAS, keep fit windows, and even keep fit door mirrors.

Body is a lovely metallic brown - it has a rusty front wing, but that's it. If you want a car without rust, sign up for finance for a Kia. There's no rust anywhere else, apart from surface rust. I've never looked underneath or anything, I'd guess it's fine as it passed it's MOT two months before I bought it.

It's had a lot of service history, but I'll show you this if you want to buy it. New Volvo battery/Manlung tyres/etc, it's had loads bought from Volvo in the past two years. I know it's original owner from new, and will bore you with it's history and how I came into possession if you can be arsed listening. I've invested in a new crank sensor, some coolant, thermostat (as said above) and some bulbs for all the dashboard ones that had blown. The headlights are shite, so I have the fogs on all the time. It has headlight wipers, which I think work, but the blades are perished (they still remove the mud and stuff) - you can get these for a fiver on ebay.

It's cheap and I'll regret selling it.

The worse thing about the whole car is the boot struts - sometimes they stay up, sometimes they come down. You'll notice when it's failed when the lock part attempts to embed itself in your skull. I have a metal pole to keep it open, as the boot is quite deep and one lock plunging into your back without warning is enough. Also the driver's seat seized on the runners. When I bought it, my knees were under my ears, so I had to move it back into a respectable position. An old fifty p was jammed in there.

It's a highly religious car, with a fish sticker in the boot, and some God related paraphenalia in the glovebox, which may explain why it has lasted so long without any problems (due to being looked after by God).

I will get some new photos later.
