I like a dash to make "sense", if that makes sense? Several of those pictured don't flow, have bits (in some cases necessary bits) seemingly thrown in there at random. Early brit stuff is a particular villain for this, with extra switches or gauges fitted "because they could"

 

The E34 dash pictured is the epitome of functionality, and the Lancia one (no idea of what it's out of) even while a little cluttered, looks like everything belongs there.
