I have one of those damp trap things in there now and it is doing absolutely fook all!

 

Agree, these things are toss, someone is filling up their old Stork magarine tubs with weak-ass Rowntree's Jelly and selling it on markets to gullible folk (ask me how I know)

Mrs Bob uses these things in the back of a couple of cupboards, but likewise I suspect they are toss. They seem to fill up with water right enough, but then you end up with a tub full of water in the cupboard. So still damp then.

I had this, easy fix with air con, twas damp mats.

Stick aircon on full chat on to down/foot well mode, as has been said air con dries so job jobbed

 

Do check all the other guff like the heater box air intake doesn't contain Lake Coniston and the pollen filer is recent or the air flow will be impeded.
