Just watched a great programme on BBC4 - "London on Film - West End", made up of old archive footage.

 

Autoshite highlights include a whole range of trucks, taxis, buses, bin lorries, roadsweepers and a Renault 14 from the 50s onwards (well, obviously the Renault 14 wasn't from the 50s and if it was it wouldn't have made it as far as 1961).

 

It'll no doubt be repeated, and is on iPlayer. Includes added Soho strip club and S&M footage.
