In fact just 3 would do, or even 2 if I buy this one ! Weirldy, one of them was left as a spare in the boot of the car. I suspect that it was one of the original set, and that wider alloys were fitted at some point. Much prefer these though...

So, met all the criteria then?

I've always loved these breadvan Alfas but as time goes by I thought they'd just become too much trouble to own. Looks like you got a good 'un, well done!

Ha, indeed ! The only box I ticked is "cheap", which is the one that mattered most, I'm sure you'll agree.

To be honest, it's not really the kind of car I'd usually go for but I've always wanted an Alfa and I do think these look interesting. And to be fair, after driving one, i can see why people go on about them !

I've really warmed to it actually, all I want to do to it really is lose the flashy alloys in favour of the ones as seen above, and maybe peel off the cloverleaf stickers on the wings too - anyone got a good technique for that ?

Ideally, in a while I'd really like to get a 75. They're getting much more desirable over here, but still pretty cheap in France...

So as promised, not that anyone is that bothered but here's some pics of my new wheelz:

These were taken just after pick up, some may recognize a classic Yorkshire landmark in the background:

The interior is looking a bit better now with a second hand Sony head unit found in Cash Converters and the seat cover has gone after the rip in the bolster it was supposed to hide was mended (fanks Mum !).

imag0311yy.jpg

Not the tidiest but it works (famous last words).

imag0304u.jpg

Chartres cathedral on the horizon after overnight ferry (a familiar sight for me).

imag0322nm.jpg

Hangin' with the locals in Angouleme...

Trying to find the blow on the exhaust, note the high standards of safety here.
