hmmm---our kids are fine in the following:

BX and Scoob - the wee boy got very sick in the 850 and 240 Estate, the Scenic and Picasso are great - no sickness at all...

when I was a nipper:

ami 8 - no sickness

DS - very sick

Mk3 Cortina - very ver sick

240 Volvo - not sick

BX- not siick

I don't think there is any pattern but cetrainly have noticed that light and airy cars are less likely to cause sickness - these MPVs, ghastly as they are do work on this front

I used to rally navigate. This was 12 car rallies and road rallies which are basically won or lost on navigation, as the average speed between controls can't be faster than 30mph (though it's to the minute timing and if the clocks are "screwed" it can be a fair bit faster).

The route is supplied to the navigator at each control and is often quite cryptic. You have to figure out the entre section on the move by the first junction and then track where you are and read out instuctions to the driver.

Anyway at first I was quite good but gradually got more and more sick.

At the end of the second year I wanted to win the club championship so that meant honking up and carrying on, twice on the last event.

Now I can hardly read a map at all without feeling immediately sick.

This proves that it is largely psychological, and that knowing that it is psychological doesn't help.

Therefore I recommend distraction.

Like kids stories and songs on a tape, spotting games that make them look out the window, etc etc
