Alexg
I decided that due to a wearing wheel bearing the Metro should stay at home. So I chose another British made car, a 2011 Nissan Note for uneventful motoring. So I set off from Kent at 9.00 for the 2 hr drive. Part of the fun is spotting vehicles on their way to the venue, although first spottage was probably Essex bound.... Thanks Toady for increasing the value of these cars. I hate the Dartford Crossing, but this sign helped me keep a lid on things Some eccentric of duffer with a number plate worth 100 times more than the car First bit of BL spottage on M11, a Montego estate! As I passed though it appeared to be a bit of a tub with more more hits than Elvis. A Rover 400 and primered Allegro (Autoshite members car?) US spec (?) Bora - VW Jetta Getting close now Apparently British cars DO breakdown. A rare event.... My arrival into the car park I was greated with this... Car park was full of quality chod.... ....and this But the winner of the car park was obviously The actual show will follow.....
wuvvum
Primered Allegro looks like the one belonging to Garycox of this parish.

Cavcraft
Special Six Princess is absolute p0rn. WTF is that 'gay classic car' thing about though? I've got visions of a Maxi dumping it's hydrolastic suspension at the front and being sneaked up on by a brown Morris 1000 with the starting handle sticking out. trigger
Excellent stuff Alex!, I really wanted to go to this but went to a different show instead, There's quite a few car's there i recognise from my the local area which would explain why i never saw them today, The tan coloured S reg VDP on the Allegro stand lives up the road, it's the guys daily driver. I'm loving that knackered Marina Coupe with the Metro rear lights too. ORSUM.
garycox
The primered blob is indeed my reliable* Allegro. Was a good day out, a good turnout of rubbish cars, the Marina hatch being a highlight, obv. Good to see Wuvvum and Angry Dicky again (and Barrett of course) Hopefully Barrett will post the pictures and story of our day soon!
RoadworkUK
I'm probably wrong here, but that Landcrab looks quite fecthing on SD1 Alloys. Don't judge me.
garethj
The front camber on that blue Marina is epic. Probably the only Marina in the world that doesn't understeer.
Tonka
Is that Marina sporting the back end of a Hyundai Pony? The Gay Classic Car Club appears quite a bit around here too, their mag is called Big End, I was recently lent a copy by a friend who is an area organiser it features a lot of BL stuff and Rollers too. For a Club mag it is very high quality, the Club Chairman used to edit one of the Classic mags apparently.
garycox
Apparently the hatch on the Marina is made from the top half of a Mk2 Capri tailgate welded to the bottom bit of a Metro tailgate.
