eddyramrod
Bonus!!! Straight in with my mate Ken's MGB, excellent. Usual Woodvale weather, I see. I recognise one or two of the other cars from various shows too, like the grey BMW, OKC10 F (his spacing...). Nice to see something familiar, thank you. Pete-M
The idiot who owns this told me that my 4.2 SD1 wasn't a 4.2 because he'd jacked it up, spun a rear wheel and worked out the engine capacity from the number of engine rotations. I'd still love to know how he did that with an automatic. A big Welsh prick who appears to have ruined a nice SD1 in order to make himself feel important. Captain Mainwaring
That bloke does sound like a prize tosser. I must admit I don't find the bodykit to be all that offensive, it's more restrained than some I've seen (though it's certainly not something I'd do) but the Yank style headlights just look shite. I can't be doing with those novelty-font numberplates either, even if it is just trumpeting the size of the engine. Great pics MichaelT.

eddyramrod
Keef, Woodvale has been a "great show" for over 30 years! The site works in its favour: almost an entire airfield, alongside a dual-carriageway. Loads of wide-open grass areas, obviously, plus lovely tarmac runways to play on. There's something for everyone, funfair, car-boot, military displays, stalls, and of course the cars. Exhibitors and traders can camp on-site. In case this sounds like an ad for the show, there is one issue that spoiled it for me in recent years: the ever-increasing cost of admission. The public are expected to shell out vast sums, which is bad enough, but so are the car-booters (my ex-neighbour used to do this every year) and exhibitors (me, a couple of times). It's a big event and therefore requires a big committee to run it, a committee that is, I think, aware of the concerns exhibitors in particular have about the costs; so one can't be too harsh with them. Two local clubs that would have had their own areas would be West Lancs MG Club, and the American Auto Club North West. Michael, did you get any pics of these? I was a member of both, and would very likely recognise many of the cars, or even people.
keef
there is one issue that spoiled it for me in recent years: the ever-increasing cost of admission. One of those that exhibitors have to pay to enter? I give these a wide berth.

monzaE
They can't even be arsed to mow the grass for the exhorbitant amount they charge to get in. Somebody is making a tidy amount out of this event.
eddyramrod
That'll be the "Public Liability Insurance"... As for mowing the grass, I would expect that'll be down to the RAF, or their contractors, and it's possible they have other things on their mind. Looking at this year's pics, it doesn't seem to be any longer than usual.
