trigger
I've just come across this in a old issue of Autocar, I'm sure I'm not the only one to think this is quite cute! I know nothing about them and haven't bothered to look on google yet but I thought I'd share this anyway! barrett
YUM! I love these... would love to own one at some point but I think there are only two over here, both very rough. This was designed by Reliant during their 'instant car company' phase... they also unsuccessfully sold the same design to a company in (iirc) South Africa where it was to be called the Anziel Nova - that one never got beyond a single prototype. When you do get a moment to google them, look out for the AWESOME coupe version they did in the early 70s

dollywobbler
It used Ford Kent engines, so probably just upgraded. An Anadol 'sleeper' must be fun!

Pete-M
They had the pre-X/flow Kent lump, and if memory serves me right, loads of other old '60s Ford bits. Therefore, it's got to be a winner. Even with that name.

nigel bickle
Always wanted one. Saw several sitting by the roadside/in general use during a flying visit to southern Turkey in May. Spent half the return journey pondering...
scooters
Go on nige....u know u want to! You won't get away with not telling the wife exactly where you are collecting from though! When I first heard about the otosan analdol I did think that it was a sex toy made by a Japanese company that had been founded by a German called Otto. carburettor

skoda_fan
I visited Turkey years ago and these things were everywhere. What wasn't an Anadol was a piece of 50s Americana in usually battered condition. Bet it's not like that there now.

What isn't a European diesel is a Turkish-built car like the Anadol. There are also quite a few Fords from the 80s and 90s.

Skut
There were loads of truck anadols when I went there in about 96. Didn't see any coupes or saloons at all. Plenty of American iron there at that time. Also Turkish BMC branded trucks which was confusing. skoda_fan
