Mr Lobster
Other than the obvoius X5 / Q7s of this world, theres not much I can think of that I really hate although when ever I see a Prious I do get the urge to drop a gear and overtake as fast as possible just to piss them off (especially effective in the Sprinter as you can do it with a cloud of diesel fumes). This though,Latest model Focuswhenever I see one I just feel a bit sad. Mk1 Focus was a really sharp looking thing, the latest just looks dull and bland. AeroNautiCal
Those hideous Porsche 4x4's. Anything with bling shit. Anything (other that a racing car) with a wing. Anything with floorpan lighting. shite_meister
Most Audis (in particular Audi TTs) and modern BMWs as they're mainly driven by dickheads of the highest order and just don't do anything for me in the looks dept. RangeRover Sports again because of the owners. That new MINI Cuntyman because its fackin huge and generally grim. VW Passats with Bonnet Bras (eh Colin? ) Lotus Elise, again its the sort of owner that makes me hate these cars unfortunately. Oddly I have to agree with the E-type, sure they look alright but they are 'a bit shit' to sit in and drive I found.
Rhythm Thief
New BeetleNew Mini ... in fact, any of the breed of "new" iconic designs. They - without exception - completely miss the point of the original design, becoming merely a sad pastiche of their former selves based solely on appearances. That said, I hate the old Beetle as well.

Rocket88
Ref Mr Thief's post..............agree, except I quite like the Fiat 500. I also dtest old Mins, purely because Issigonis was a rampant bloody sadist, and didn't make cars for people of normal human dimensions. In the Mini, your knee is always wedged up against the window winder, the 1800 driving position is better, but you always feel that your like the small boy told to sit up straight and not to put his elbows on the table. dollywobbler
Not many of these hatreds seem irrational. It's perfectly normal to hate BMW X5s. Irrational would be hating something that causes very little actual offence. Like Aston Martins for example. Seems to be that some of them are a bit like a very well trimmed Seddon Atkinson. Justin Case
I actually think that Len's quite rational. A little vitriolic at times (most times in fact) but never completely irrational. On the other hand when it comes to cars, it is always the image and marketing that I hate. I think that the Pious has brilliant technology that actually works and the latest two generations look quite tidy; it's just the smug hypocrites that drive them. I just hate everything about the Cashcow though; the concept, the deceit of a 2WD 4x4, the tiny boot ,etc, etc. I hope that their DPFs get clogged up driving around town (urbanproof, don't make me laugh) and they all go into limp-home mode just as they are leaping between two buildings
Rhythm Thief
Ref Mr Thief's post..............agree, except I quite like the Fiat 500. The Fiat 500 is the exception, because it actually does pretty much what the old one did, in a modern package. The Bini is simply a massive car which takes its styling cues from the Mini. ditto the new Beetle. There's nothing clever or innovative about either car in the way that there was about their originals, nor do they fill the same niche as the originals did.I don't know whether or not Citroen have introduced a "New 2CV" yet, but if they ever do, you can bet your bottom dollar it'll have a cute face and a big sunroof and the rear wheels covered over. Plus there'll be all special additions with flower graphics and similar hippy dippy shit and it'll be aimed squarely at bright young hippy chicks. This is all bollocks. The new 2CV already exists in the shape of the Berlingo, because the thing that made the 2CV a great car was not that its headlamps were on little stalks or that it looked like an upturned pram. It's a great car because you can take all the seats out to fit big loads in, or roll down the roof to carry a ladder about. Then when you've done that you can put the seats back in and use it as a family car. Just like you can with the Berlingo. If modern car companies designed their new iconic designs on functional grounds rather than grounds of form, I'd probably rather like them. As it is they're symbolic of a society which values form over function. Sorry, bit of a well worn rant ...

mnde
@ Rod/b: I guess I included the X6 it under the umbrella of "BMW 4x4s" and "Porche Cayenne et al" . I read a car magazine article (can't remember the mag) that struggled to find the point of introducing X6 when BMW already have the X5...
face
It's hard to distinguish between disliking a car because of the twats that generally drive them, or the car itself. I didn't like the new Mini - I drove my in-law's Cooper (the early, smaller type) and it was a nice thing to drive. Also a mate had a Cooper 'S', it went like a rocket. So I quite like them, but they are generally driven by shitheads. BMW's are the same, I almost get annoyed when I see one driving about. But looking at them parked up and they're not so bad - apart from the 1 series monster. Lotus Elise is one of my favourite cars, well pretty much any Lotus to be honest. No legion of wank-bags will ever put me off those. The new Polo is bloody awful though, I hate that
triang1
+1 For the MINI - Great fun to drive and a good car in it's own right... forget Issigonis But the New Beetle... Blind retro IMHO - a golf with a jelly mould on the top .... yrgh Toyota Land Cruiser Amazons - so big , so ugly With regards to retro styling, ok in it's place as there are many themes from the past worth repeating if they looked good and worked. Retro for it's own sake - nah. After all - If we abandoned retro just because we have seem it before all new cars would look like the MG6.

Fat_Pirate
Pug 309. I can't remember the last time I saw one, but I've always loathed the utterly soul-destroying drabness of them. I used to dream of becoming a millionaire, so I could buy them all up, hire a fleet of Hercules aircraft, and bomb the factory with them. I doubt there are enough left to demolish a bus stop now, so the peeps of Coventry can sleep easy. Where's the Nissan Juke built? 'Cos if the 87p's worth of HSBC stock I own rises substantially, the residents of that town are going to need Anderson shelters.
The Reverend Bluejeans
I'm not sure I really hate anything that much*. I feel a lot of cars look a bit stupid, but if you really pressed me on the subject -The Cuntryman. What a fucking heap that it - i mean LOOK AT THE STATE OF IT!!!!-Audi Q7 looks like a hippo squeezed in a vice.-I used to really hate the Juke, mainly because of that bastard advert. But I hate to admit it's starting to grow on me. It certainly makes the Quasquauaui look normal. Sorry.-Scenic and Picasso. Whenever I see one of these shitheaps I picture some dozy bint at the controls, brain in neutral.-The Cayenne is pretty dreadful in all it's forms. I don't have a problem with regular modern Audis, BMW's or anything else. X5's are okay but yes, the X6 is a bit weird. I drive normally and don't encounter all this aggressive driving everyone else seems to. MINI's are okay in the original pre 2007 form but the later ones are all fattened up and the Clubfoot is a bit gay. I don't mind the Golf based Beetle at all. Just not fussed about them either way. *Actually, I hate Steve Wright. Every time the blaring loudmouth gobshite starts singing over a really good song, I want to knock his fucking teeth out. Is that rational?
