retrogeezer Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 I really miss the London MCW MetrobusesMy Dad loved driving them.....like a Rolls Royce after driving the RT's & RM's....I used to love going to work with him and standing at the front all day looking out of that huge window ( a massive health & safety no-no now of course) with my dad banging out a ticket sharpish if an inspector was at the bus stop ahead. mk2_craig Posted May 16, 2008 Share Posted May 16, 2008 Some of them WERE actually Rolls Royce engined! Certainly in central Scotland anyhow. I've never yet managed to drive one but I did regularly drive Leyland Olympians for a couple of years, later ones with the 10 litre Cummins engines.
