CortinaDave
That cavalier was the one that was at the practical classics photo shoot I did with the cortina a couple of years ago. He went on and on about it being the oldest, then there was an older one on ebay a week later
outlaw118
Been going through a huge box of photos, and I've pulled a few out that may interest you twisted lot.The scene outside Ma & Pa Outlaw's house circa 1989, Montego as "best" car and Escy 1300L as father's commuter-daily-skipWot I learned to drive in, late 1986, early '87. An X plate Corrolla, brown, with 285,000 miles on. The gearbox was lovely as you can imagine. Still the original one though....One for Keef, a saloon stock circa 1986, at Yarmouth StadiumSome kind of kitcar in a car park, somewhere or other.....Salonn stocks at Yarmouth again, mainly Escorts, but check out the pace car, Opel Ascona!!!Nice old 1600E, sorry, don't know when or where.....I remember thinking that this was the bollax at the time....still would....this had an Essex V6 in it, I've got a half picture of that, but the film must have run out....My first car, JLE627V, Renault 4TL, purchased on Thursday, stuck on it's side Sunday. What a pisser...still got a year out of it....Lovely 2 door 131, at a Chelsea cruise, late 80's or early 90's, splendid. Shame the flash on the camera has whited the number plate out,...Rally (G)Imp, a bit ratty, but smart anyway...Nice hearse, probably from same Chelsea meeting as above;Me and my mate Sean in the new Rialto, London Motorshow 1990?Something Spanish..........This was taken near Walthamstow, some Minor specialist had built himself this...My brother with his first car 1989? Le Mans green, quarter bumpers, Mexico seats, a 1300 on an 1100 gearbox and back axle. Worth a bloody fortune now....My first Capri, replaced the R4, 1300L, vinyl roof, 4 spotlamps, fucked piston rings, smoked more than a kipper. Engine went pop on the way to Gatwick with my mate already late.....car number 3, GS Pallas CMU781V, rusty old bag of nails. Paid £75 for it, got £500 as a trade in....Rover P6 Estate, as spotted at a random show....Best use for a Sapphire.....bro' won a few races in this, and came third in the European final 1997(or 98), on a totally "scraped together" car, built for about £400, the two in front had spent over £2500.Double whammy whilst on holiday in Southern Spain, July 1998, a Fiat 127 and a Renno Sex!!Proof that beige can be sexy, another '98 Spanish photo, lancia Summat-or-other.....
