forddeliveryboy
] That is just so 'Old Money'. Wouldn't look out of place at the Old Manor after a morning shooting peasants. Awesome. Had one in the same colour but a 4cyl. Sorted wallows out and improved steering with pair of Boge Gas dampers for Audi 80 Sport, heavy duty springs at back and set of steels from a Passat 3 so the tyres weren't quite as baloon style. Went like the proverbial (starship miles, 1.8 carb, 90hp officially) - would keep up with a mate's 6cyl XJS to 90. GL5 5 cyl bit front heavy, but the front end would rise up like a ship in a swell if you put your foot down, they were a bit faster on Autobahn esp uphill. Colour great for never needing washing. Drove all over Europe in it. And the rest.

RoadworkUK
DVLA says that's been re-taxed recently, thank christ. saw the photo of it lurking at the back of a Ford dealer (probably Lookers) and had a horrible vision of it being scrappaged. BMC Dan
A trio from the Essex coast, all seen yesterday 'Leather waistcoat wearing Elvis fan living off benefits' spec Mk1 Zephyr in Clacton town centre (complete with disabled badge)Been seeing this for a number of years now and only finally got round to getting a (rather crap) shot of it. Hanging A40 farina in the car port of a hoarder type house in Holland-on-sea that's been off the road since 1984 according to the DVLA. The owner has nailed a piece of board across the entrance to stop anyone getting too close to it. Perhaps our Christmas jumper clad North Essex correspondent could get a better photo next time he's round that way? Another baby farina (in the form of a newsagents ad) with suspicious looking tidemark and paint matching actionAnd an immaculate A55 near Jaywick that's hasn't been taxed for over 20 years says the DVLA. Long term restoration perhaps?
trigger
Hey i saw that A55 last weekend myself, I forget why i couldn't get a photo of it, i think there was another car blocking my view of it. More Importantly that Zephyr is bloody amazing, i mean to the point that I'm just staring at the screen grinning! That's my idea of the perfect classic there, my favorite colour, style everything, apart from the crappy seat covers of course.

BMC Dan
Some snaps from around Hertfordshire this time Lovely unrestored late A35 van on a driveway in Bovingdon Sunbeam Alpine series 3 outside a sports car specialist in Hemel, would easily have one of these over any Sherpa sports or Triumph. Can't be many of these left!! BMC VA 'Noddy van' in a storage yard used by travellers, still in BRS green too...And finally something for Keef and Torsten, a very sorry looking Mk1 ADO16 in the garage of a run down cottage, the reg number of which isn't recognised by the DVLA so looks like it's been sitting for about three decades at least. BMC Dan
Easter Sunday update!! Datsun 200L Laurel in a lovely dark metallic brown in Berkhamsted which never seems to move, least it's back on it's original steels rather then the silver wellers it was on at one point.Wob laden Mk2 Consul in Ardleigh bootsale car parkZOIDS!!! Spotless Crown Custom saloon on the A120 A55 driveway ornament in Ipswich which has been off the road since 1987 according to the DVLA...And this A30 near Colchester hasn't seen the road since 1980!! And finally this tidy Aggro 3 wagon outside a park in Hemel, as the back seat was removed and sheeting was put down inside I reckon this was an old boy's who was fishing/disposing of corpses at the nearby canal. Angrydicky
Nice spots! I spoke to the owner of that lovely Crown after clocking it at a classic car meet last month, I think he said it had only had two owners from the same family and has always been garaged, he recomissioned it after a long period of storage and it is now used regularly. I'd guess by the look of that A55 that it's been standing on that driveway since 1987. PRE 68 IZ CUMIN (etc) A30 looks very sound, nowhere near Essex Triumph is it? I'd love to PUMP UP THE JAM on that Allegro estate
