BorniteIdentity
Someone please inform me where to hand in my AS Membership, as I’ve clearly not been even fucking trying this year. In. Just one, but he’s a babe and gets to stay indefinitely. Pure base Mercedes w201 with medium red cloth. No ABS, clockwork windows and carb powered. I love it. Out? Well a Mercedes w202 which I rather liked, and was superior in every way to its replacement other than the greedy 4 speed auto. That Audi 80 that Alf892 and I saved went to a lad in the army and is now in Germany. And that’s it. Plans for 2019? Get the sierra bASe going again, and buy something 60s af. BorniteIdentity
All your cars look really good in those pictures. I like the w202 in green and trims. Thanks man. It was a pretty good example - by far the least rusty I’ve seen in 15 years. It had suffered a couple of mingebag owners in quick succession, me being one of them, but it still pootled along well enough. It just wasn’t great on petrol on the open road because of the 4 speed; I’d get a steady 32 which was the same as the 2.5 Rover 75 I sold earlier last year!! MarvinsMom
i haven't added anything this year, so i begin 2019 as i did last year, only difference been that Rodney Mini is (or was) working when put into storage. after it fought me for several months earlier in the year as i tried to put it back together, wellit did pass its last ever? MOT, something that is didn't have at the start of 2018. don't be fooled by those innocent, charming good looks, as really that car is a tiny little @*"£$%^# Kerry though has had both one in, and one out. the out was the little gay jeep, the Suzi Vitarra.that when to the scrap yard in October, we managed to get the front wheels off of it to changethe grumbling front wheel bearings. only we found that both hubs had turned into lumps of ferrious oxide. the coupe-de-grace been when trying to undo the trackrod end the threaded portion of the ball joint just desintigrated.... as kerry didn't want to spend any more on it, over the bridge it went. we both shed a tear or two about that, it had been a handly little thing to have. but it was totally fucked. and the in was the hardly dangerous soft tail.that too is now in pieces in the lock-up cos we bought it with shagged tyres. and she has been taking bits off to rub down and put some fresh paint on. so i doubt it will ever run again......... so, my tat - Rover 75 CDTi estate - 168,000 miles and still going, had new clutch and dmf so i need to get me monies worth out of it.Marvin the Metro - love it currently sat in the lock up for winter.Cocopop the Mini Cooper - as above.Rodney Mini the Mini 1000 - don't love it but its in storage too for the winter, come spring it could well be up for sale. Kerry's tat - Lexus LS400 - gotta shift this on too, before something REALLY expensive breaks.Mdm Edith the Austin Metro - in bits in the garage, no progress in 2018 and i doubt there will be any in 2019H/D 883cc Sportster - done i belive 150 miles this year, in storage maybe going up for sale given that the Softail is a nicer ride.H/D 1340cc Softail Custom - in the garage in bits, needs tyres, and actually been riden at some point. maybe,
vaughant
One in, 04/54 Vito, now or of MOT and needing welding.Been very lazy this year and left my SEAT Leon in work when the MOT ran out in may, drove the Zafira until it had the same fate late in July/August then got the Vito in-between to try and create some sort of camper van, but I'm concerned about chasing good money after bad with all the welding/other jobs it wants. Sons A class is going back this week after a 4 month extension so I'm on the hunt for a c-class around 15/16/17 plate however contact negotiations mean this is put on hold for now. So in true format: Daily:In: Merc VitoOut: Merc A class.Long term: seat Leon, about to be re-motedZafira trim to put back in for MOT.Avensis: continues to be incredible. Split_Pin
2019 has been an awful year for my whole family, can't wait till 2020. Out: Rover 75 Classic CDT. I miss this car but couldn't say no to a roffle win. I was made redundant this year so had to give up our much loved family Duster to WBAC. I was pretty upset at this, still am. In: Possibly the only genuinely good thing to happen in 2019, won this in a roffle from here in February. It's GR9. This replaced the Duster. My wife loves it. It does look good and drive well and despite it's initial teething* troubles*, it has settled down a bit. Next year I'll make a decision on whether to keep the Clio. I'm having the subframe and lower arms replaced in January so I'll decide after that. I'll either sack off the coilovers and have more comfortable springs and dampers fitted or sell it and buy a car which is more comfortable. The Corsa and Audi will remain and if the Mini continues to drive OK then that will stay too. egg, DoctorRetro and RobT

HMC
Bought and sold- various. Worst was a heap of an e39 touring: it went wrong in various ways and after losing my shit with it it had the last laugh by what I can only describe as having catastrophic engine failure en route the scrap yard, deserting me en route. Schadenfreude back at you- your now a washing machine motherfucker. the rest were decent enough. Bought sold and bought back- mk1 sprinter with old 2.3 diesel from the t1 range. Comfortably Less power to weight than a 602 2cv but also brilliant and currently my only transport beside bicycles. I’m loving its simplicity after having a few mechanical woes with other vehicles this year. No turbo, no DMF, no shit cdi injector clamp design, rarity of HGF etc etc. Count me IN. loserone
Looking back, I don't think I posted my account last year. HMSC will no doubt be in touch to check on them. Meanwhile, this year started pretty tamely with only two cars The family Legacy: Which @HillmanImp took on recently; And the leaf. It's not interesting, nobody cares, I don't have any pictures of it. Oh here: We still have that. I also had this: Which is shown in its lighter configuration prior to being weighed in, ready to help this sad panda: Which I also still have. Anyway, that wasn't good enough for @TontonTdB who needed a winter beater, so I bought this from @sporty-shite: This was ideal for the duration and generally great fun. Then it HGF'D, so I sold it to Scary. Tonton got married in May so the legacy did a few miles down to Toulon and back, inspiring a need for a comfortable French car. So I bought this from Max: Which is amazing and she still has, but probably not the right car for a family trip to Toulon. So I sold it to Mrs L1 and bought this: Which was hilarious, but not for me. So I lost lots of money on it and sold it to @castros_bro Meanwhile @Jim Bell had bought a 405 saloon which was broken, and he sold it to me for cheaps. This was great, but needed a thermostat housing (donated by the 405 above) and all new brake lines, so it got roffled off to @Cavcraft when it needed tyres, because buying tyres would have been more expensive than buying this: Which is fucking awesome, or so I thought until @TheDoctor got his mitts on it and revealed to the world how shit it was and how a Perodua Kelisa with mole grip flared wheelarches was a much better car. With that roffled I bought what I should have got in the first place: Which I still have, and is probably the best car I've ever had. Somewhere in this I briefly owned this ungrateful piece of shit after a crap @Lacquer Peel auction, clocked it and drove it off a short cliff just after the MOT, before selling it to @davehedgehog31 LightBulbFun, The Moog, BorniteIdentity and 6 others 8
