mk1_4dr
In 10years I'll still have escRot for sure, might have had another light resto by then and everything.... Hopefully that will be the daily, although, I imagine e39 M5s and RS6's will be cheap enough by then. Oh, and I'll be 35.
Cavcraft
Actually (seeing as I'm hoping to retire in nine years time) I might be in a motor home as I quite fancy a modern-ish one to travel round this sceptic isle.
Formula Autos
In ten years time I hope to be tooling around in my Dad's current Seat Exeo. He bought it new last year, but it'll probably still be around by 2020 as it's a dizzler (and he doesn't do many miles, so there'll be loads of life still left in the engine), he gets everything he owns serviced on schedule at the main dealer and, being basically an old model Audi A4 it's galvanised (I think, and it's no use asking me Dad - he doesn't care enough to ask when he goes to the dealers). He also drives sensibly, so the chances of a crash are less than most. So today's fairly expensive re-hashed VAG cast-off becomes 2020's sensible daily driver. Near 2020 it should cost me sod-all to buy as well. It's not a bad looking thing IMHO either.

Mr H Sceptre
I'll have a tow-bar fitted to the Maxi by then, so will have a crusty old caravan to tow around. Might have to swap the 1500 engine for a 1750 though.
MK5 Escort
I'll still be relatively young at 35. If I make it even that far, that is... In 2020 if the eco-fascists haven't had their way, I think a very late model Vectra C would fit the bill nicely, or perhaps a Skoda Superb. Yes, an early Seat Exeo should be nice and cheap by then also. I would adore an Audi S8 / W12 but unfortunately my wallet wouldn’t like the fuel bills even at today’s prices... Of course I will still have the early MK5 Escort tucked away somewhere for special occasions... Maybe the addition a late and original Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 to keep it company? warren t claim
I think a W12 Phaeton will have depreciated enough to make it a decent cheapo barge in 9 years (maybe sooner).
AnthonyG
I might have found around room to home a 1960s Chrysler New Yorker or Lincoln Continental (loved the blue one at Spondon) by then .
garycox
A late Jag X300 would be nice if I could afford to run it, maybe a Rover 75 diesel if not... My Mini will either be on the road or sitting exactly where it is now, but a lot more rusty Oh and 'my ' FD Ventora of couse. I WILL get it one day! Guest
I'll either be dead, in prison, or dead in prison. If not, probably a Hyundai XG30.
HillmanImp
In 10years I'll still have escRot for sure, might have had another light resto by then and everything..... Planning on winning the pools? Oh, and I'll be 35. Fuck off. I will be nearly 45. How shit. But on the plus side i will be full flow in my midlife crisis and will probably be banging an 18yr old. Saying that, the young birds are so fat these days I probably would give it a miss and just buy another motorbike and perish on it.

Negative Creep
Most moderns don't do it for me. Chances are by then their electrics will be playing up rendering them undriveable but having said that I'd love an S2000, Elise or 350z. Something like a Jag XJR would be awesome, but would I really trust it? That is presuming cars aren't banned or gps limited by then
Gompo
Tough one. I'll be 37. Realistically if things are the same as now it'll be something 10 or so years old. Unfortunately there's not a lot I find desirable that's new these days. If I need a 'family' car, I suppose something like an Alfa 159 if they've not fallen to bits, and a none K-series Elise or Exige.

Spottedlaurel
Hmmm, I’ll be 50. Thinking how quickly the last 10 years has gone by and how little things have changed I don’t reckon we’ll be much different, just it’ll all be more expensive. I want to gradually build up my Camry stockpile, buying as late and tidy a 2.2 of my generation as possible (circa 2000/2001) for my main car. They don’t go wrong much and I’ll have a stash of parts. Next model doesn’t look as good and will be too complicated. This would the equivalent of driving a 1990 Camry in 2010, which would be a perfectly practical and pleasant scenario. Failing that, a Honda Accord or Hyundai Sonata. A 12-13 year old example of either would do me nicely. No Nissans newer than 2000 though. Hopefully the Laurel will still be grumbling along, though it will probably have needed a bit of bodywork by then.
messerschmitt owner
I am hoping I will still be driving a veg-oil-burning Citroen XM, my wife will still have her 'new' Punto Cabriolet, and I'll still own my Messerschmitt (which I will have owned for thirty-three years by 2020). I should also still own a 2004 Mercedes motorhome and a 2000 Peugeot scooter, so I guess the fleet will not have changed that much. It has been all go this past two months though: bought a second XM dieselsold two Honda Z600s, scrapped another about to dismantle and scrap another XM a friend and I bought for sparesselling the Ashtray convertible and buying a Punto cabriolet I'm confusing the neighbours with car changes - wait till they see the bubble car ... mk2_craig
Hey this is only three years away now, the crystal ball has become a little clearer. I think I can say with a bit more certainty that the XR2 will still be largely garagebound with an increasing amount of cardboard boxes and that piled up on top. I'll be 42 and hopefully well rid of the diesel Datsun Cashcard that acts as family transport at the present time, whether Mrs_Craig will still have the Astra Twintop turbo is another matter, need to get some money's worth out of the repairs it's had. warren t claim

Asimo
One of those rechargeable Hondas as seen at this years Frankfurt show. Or if even more poor, a Twizzy with a trailer full of lead-acid volts salvaged from broken Kadjars.
Lord Sterling
Wow, I'll be a couple of years away from touching 40. I guess I'll be driving/at leat buying an E61 BMW 540 Estate with fucked air suspension. I'll still have rotting Sterlings sitting somewhere and apparently a K11 Micra aswell. gordonbennet
Well hopefully the Landcruiser will still be giving good service, the Merc long sold when i get round to it, and the Mrs probably in her next Outback. And i'll be a year from retirement, though whether i shall retire fully remains to be seen, if we're spared. And tresa may will probably still be busy scuttling brexit along with her cohorts. mercrocker

SiC
Vectra C 3.2 GSi or Astra VX/R Nurburgring. Oh, and a Merc CLK (the older type) even though the suspension will fall off and the bodywork will dissolve before my eyes. But in all likelihood probably something as mingebag-esque as a clapped out old Mk3 Fiasco or Corsa. Oh how much reality turned out to be Mr Cavcraft. A clapped out MK3 Fista or Corsa B is a luxury compared to the clapped out and minging Zafiras you keep bring home.
warren t claim
Well here's a thread from the dead but as we're nearly there I thought I'd treat it to a bump so we can see if anyone still here achieved their prediction. Me? Well I would never have guessed that instead of trying to keep a senile VW Phaeton on the road I'd be running around in a financed Hyundai that I bought new but I guess that's how my life panned out.
