Bren Posted May 2 Posted May 2 My eldest has been hankering after one of these despite only having his licence for eighteen months and being only 21. Today he took the plunge. It's on a personal plate but is 1999 on a T reg. Delivery mileage of 128k. Three keys and a sheaf of bills - on it's third set of belts. It does have some cosmetic issues - the bumpers need paint as each corner has damage. The rear seats look as if they have never been sat in - leather in the front has some cracking. Spare looks unused and has a newsish toyo fitted. Still has the wallet pack and discs for the sat nav - It has a nice burble that is unmistakably V8 - my BMW 545 was so muted you could only tell with big throttle applications. As well as the paint there is a judder when braking so the brakes need looking at. He paid sub £4k for this - it's not perfect but a nice example that needs bringing up to scratch. He is very happy. Bradders59 Posted May 2 Posted May 2 I would be more than happy with that for that price. Something very similar is top of my wish list if I ever get to the end of the road with my Omega. Apart from the colour. I would want a darker colour, but thats just personal preference. Bren 1

Green is my favourite. Bradders59 1

Lovely stuff 👌 He has been warned. He freely admits to not liking the astra and he doesn't really care for it - he checks the fluids etc but won't clean it. I have told him if he does the same with this it will bite him on the arse. Matty and tooSavvy 1 1

Hmm.... I have a very manky, rust brown n/s fog on AVAS 🫤 I popped a tenner for a scrapper 😉 Such *ministrations (I might hope...) will keep the GM gods happy and eke out another 100k. Big Barge [Barg 👍] that one... 🚙💨
paulplom Posted May 4 Posted May 4 What's it like underneath. Mine needed the exhaust welded and when they put it up on the lift I had a look. The titanic was in better condition. It was absolutely hanging underneath but lovely on top and I got rid asap. It was a Scottish car though which would explain it.

It was bought from Reading Lexus and before today had only been as far north as the west midlands. There is a reason Scottish motor traders head south for much of their stock. Anywhere around the Scottish coast will kill a car quickly.
