Mate, that is so kind but there’s no need. Thanks so much but I can’t accept and will enjoy the final line up on here. I am genuinely touched though, so thanks for that.

Everyone saying “1 Desk” “one wall” is just making me think about @CaptainBoom literally sending someone an entire wall or desk in the post and it’s making me genuinely giggle every time

Tell me about it!  I don't need a print shop, I need a builder's merchant and a branch of IKEA :)

  • CaptainBoom changed the title to Autoshite Calendar 2026-2027 - Show of hands please - Price drop madness!

I've had a chat with the print shop (we use them at work for loads of things) to see if I can nudge the pricing down a bit.  The chap there said that the most labour-intensive bit is the hole-punching and spiral binding.  I was talking this over with our guv'nor and he mentioned that our company has a binding machine in a lockup (that I never knew that we had).  I've unearthed it and after a rub down with the Sporting Life and copious application of 3in1 oil, it works!

The upshot of it is, the printers are going to just print the wall calendars loose and I'll bind them myself over a couple of lunch hours. We've got plenty of spirals of the same type as the print shop would have used, and I'll order some more on the QT.  The price for a wall calendar will now be £12.20, which is a whole 30p cheaper than last year.

The desk calendars are going to come out the same price (£9.50) as the quantity is low enough, I'll let the print shop bind those.

Now all I've got to do is work out how to nab the machine when I leave this job 😆

Not a problem at all. Nothing is binding :)
