AnthonyG
When did they stop making the Jag XJS? Saw one today with a N Plate, looked like a run-out model with subtle body kit etc. 1996, so thats about right. I've seen than on a P plate. Tartan58
Sure I've seen a 51 Plate escort estate (def not a van) kicking around, although I guess the one above could be the last one built but not neccessaraly the last one registered. mnde
My dad used to own Triumph TR7 EWC 504Y, a convertible in Carribean Blue The enquiry is complete The vehicle details for EWC 504Y are: Date of Liability 01 10 2009 Date of First Registration 06 08 1982 Year of Manufacture 1982 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1998CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour BLUE Vehicle Type Approval Surely the year of manufacture should be 1981!! It was definitely an older car than the "last-of-line" in Gaydon: If production finished in October 1981, dad's car spent a minimum of 10 months in the unsold stockpile! I've not yet seen another Y-plater. I've got a pic or two of EWC, but hidden away in a box full of prints from my pre-digital days. Mark.
Richard
I've seen another Y plate TR7, the number completely escapes me though. I forgot about this J plate Volvo 340 drift weapon that's been lurking in my Flickr. Pete-M
Mate of mine passed his test on Monday this week, and before he got home he'd gone and bought himself a new Peugeot 207. He collects it in the next couple of weeks, and it'll be a 60 plate. So, about three days off an '11'. Got a big old discount on it though. ProgRocker
I once or twice did see a 1986-91 shape white Vauxhall Belmont on an M or N reg... I was pretty damn sure it WAS a Vauxhall and NOT actually a Daewoo Nexia saloon. I suspect that it was some scallies driving an MOT failure Belmont on false plates. trigger
Now I'm no expert on Metros but this 1999 plate 114 i saw today on a garage forecourt strikes me as being pretty late. 1999 Rover 114 GSi by Trigger's Retro Road Tests!, on Flickr Here's the advbert for it, The garage want £895 for it, They stopped making them on 23rd December 1997 so a 31/3/99 one is mega late! http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl/po ... distance=
Shep Shepherd
I once saw a 1982 X-reg Volvo 760 GLE. Presumably, it was originally registered and used by Volvo Concessionaires Limited in the months leading up to the model's official UK launch. I've also seen L and M-reg 240 estates

Guest Leonard Hatred
I'm quite tempted to go and see Shuttleworth in Inverness. K-reg Bluebird is odd, didn't the Primera start in 1991 - possibly as early as H?
Jonnyvalenta
Couple of weeks ago I was astounded to see a B reg Golf GTi MK1. Wish I'd got the rest of the number but I was staring intently at the start of the reg as it approached that I didn't clock the rest of it. D'oh! Was fully expecting it to be an A reg. Black or dark green in colour,it looked well at least. Saw it not far from Glenrothes in Fife,so anyone local, keep a look out! Cheers
