Euro 24

Essex V6

Recommended Posts

I am just back from following Scotland at The Euros.

Spent a few days in The Netherlands before crossing over to The Fatherland for the main event.

Here are all the spots I managed to get shots of.

Netherlands first - I was based in The South - just outside Leiden

That about covers the Dutch end of things. Hopefully something for everyone in that little lot. Transport was a classic Dutch Cruiser - slightly upgraded on day two

Impressive number of Amazons still kicking about

Lots and lots of them were imported in the 90s. There are more Amazons in the country now than when they were new...

Poor old Dutchies didn’t even get alloys on their Saxo VTS!

That's a 1.4 VTS. Was that offered in the UK as well? Not sure. Anyway, the 1.4 VTS was aimed at young drivers who wanted something that looked sporty, but couldn't afford a 1.6 VTS (or the insurance of one).  The 1.4 was lacking some of the standard equipment of the 1.6  (such as the alloys) and was, with only 75 bhp, not really a hot hatch.

That would make sense. The only VTS we had here was the 1.6 16v. I suspect the equivalent here was the Furio
