Anyway, the 1.4 VTS was aimed at young drivers who wanted something that looked sporty, but couldn't afford a 1.6 VTS (or the insurance of one). The 1.4 was lacking some of the standard equipment of the 1.6 (such as the alloys) and was, with only 75 bhp, not really a hot hatch.
