barrett
HEY GUYS! WHAT'S UP??? 2013 has been pretty rubbish for spots so far, these dark Winter months are hardly conducive to old cars getting out and about, or me ever leaving my house unless I absolutely have to. barrett
Top spots as always. Is there any chance of someone spotting your own car on the road soon? Absolutely nil! However, I am booking my test(icles) this week for the end of April, so I should be out in something before too long. I already have my eye on a couple of worthy* candidates. The Bond needs loads of money chucking at it (which I don't have at the moment) and I am thinking about farming out most of the welding work to the guy who replaced the sill on the Simca, as it was such a lovely job and very reasonable. Then hopefully a new wiring loom (£200) and try and get the thing running right (carb rebuild, at the very least) and sort the brakes from sitting, then hopefully that should be enough to at least try for a test. I haven't touched it for about 4 months and I'm feeling pretty guilty about the whole thing but I just haven't had the time/money/energy to do owt to it. One day, though! Anyway, here's a bonus from yesterday at the office. Original solid tyres ftw1925 Trojan Tourer by barrogance, on Flickr

vulgalour
@55bloke: They're not superb, they're okay. Like the Thunderbird, they have this sort of ungainly, slightly blingy approach to styling that's neither charming nor stunning just sort of awkward, like a granny who wears a shell suit and insist on keeping the blue rinse and the gold antique jewellery. It's all at sixes and sevens with itself.
