Helped the mother in law today with getting her Skoda to run after 6 months of sitting. Basically fired straight up. Just needed a jump start. Guy who had it before her was only doing 150 miles a year in it!

It’s been wayyyy too long since a fleet update thread. 
 

So my main vehicles now are:

2001 Audi A4 Avant 2.4 V6, I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this car, I sold my my last A4 a year or two ago and regretted it ever since so I knew I had to pick another one up one day. For a V6 petrol the MPG is quite good. Will do a solid 30 on a good run and town traffic isn’t as bad as you may think. Since picking it up on Friday I’ve covered 150 miles, it’s cruises very well for a 23 year old car. 

1971 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, this one I’ve had just over a month and it’s mainly a driving project, I’ve already done some odd jobs and bought parts but I’ve mainly just not had any time to tinker with it yet. It will be getting some attention next year when the money situation is hopefully better. The main 2 jobs for this one are to sort out the missing wiper (I’ve got a new wiper arm but it also needs a linkage) and the brakes. Yeah it doesn’t like to stop which is the main reason it’s not getting used as much as it should. 

1997 Daimler 4.0 Hearse, everything with the Daimler is well for a min. I’m going to be using it for my wedding next month on the 31st so it needs a good detail before then. It’s been a good motor. I was using it daily the last few weeks until I put it back down the yard. Once the wedding is done I’m not sure what the fate will be as I don’t really need 3 big engined cars, especially when we’re expecting another bundle of joy in 8 months and the hearse is the only reasonable car to get rid of. 

Be prepared for another fleet update in 3 months time 🤣

Fleet update! Quite a lot has happened. Me and the love of my life got married on the 31st and used my Daimler as our wedding car which was going to be the plan for it all along.

With the wedding now done, the Hearse went up for sale and my Dad is now the owner so at least it’s staying in the family for the time being. 

The Rolls Royce that was previously owned by @Weird Car is now back with her. I just didn’t have the time, space or money but it was a lovely car to own and I look forward to it getting the love it deserves.

My Mother in law needed a new car as her Volvo XC90 has absolutely had it and is falling to bits so I offered to let her buy my 2001 Audi A4 Avant V6 previously owned by @Marm Toastsmith 

but I couldn’t live without having a modern estate so when @Weird Car re-acquired the Roller I acquired her A6 Avant.

 

I also briefly had a Skoda Octavia however I only owned it 1 day before it was sold (I bought it to flip) 

Tomorrow I’ll be embarking on yet another collection caper to Stoke On Trent to pick up my new classic. A car that I’ve been wanting for a while and I’ll be driving it home to Portsmouth and hopefully it all goes smoothly. Breakdown cover has been bought in case the worst happens.
