They're just old, it's nothing to worry about, its just caused by oil vapours getting ionized by the electric charge, or something like that.

I have wondered about a sort of 'dull thrubb..bb..bb' on tickover yesterday, but pulled fine >>> fired up first thing this morning to go shopping = EML + only 3 😮

Nipped round to the garage, told him I'd only done the new plugs last Monday, left it for him to investigate 🙄

4pm.... Rings up "plug hole half full of rainwater, blew it out.. brake cleaner.. blew it out.. slathered with electrical/silicone damp proof grease = see how it goes, M9!"

He knows of many cars with rainwater drips, into engine, causing water faults....

I have checked the Webbie and some have found water coming through/pooling about the screen wash jet grommets, on Hi.n.Dri's 🤔

I park on the cant of the road... This plug hole lowest 🤦

I will do some snooping + kitchen roll @rainyday

Whilst combing the Hi.n.Dri fora, looking for water faults, I discovered that the Getz is NOT CanBus.

Well, future annoying faults [.. 🙄 let there be none] at least won't require DealerAssist 🥳

Masked around the boot/tail spoiler... All the lakka has lifted and it looks *scabby.

.... painted with the same 'matte' metal paint as used on the backs of the new wheels. Used a brush - mistake, use a foam roller for v.2 repaint 😕

Still, does a nice 1st coat......

TBH Mudflaps are a bit '60's' but given my slight track width increase, at the front, they make real sense [to me..]

..... one wheelnut missing, one turned out 4 turns = drivers front wheel 😳

$hite 🛠️🤦 ..... All the wheels are shot blasted + zinc rich undercoat PLUS my painting them... Yupp, paint in the cone has fretted away and loosened the 'pinch' 🤫.

Fortunately I have a habit of checking all the wheels before starting up each day and this must have happened on our last 120m+ jollies. Spare plain nut on and a new dome #ordered ...

I only get an 'idiot light' for engine temps 😕😳

This kit (@£4) with the 'external' sensor lashed against the heater hose [hottest outlet one] will give me a rough >> direction of travel >> for the engine/water temps.

 

This guy agrees to 'approximation' but, essentially, some number [..trends] is better than none 👍
