Thread update! This is for sale for reasonable money (€2750). I don’t need it but I’m very tempted. I can already see myself pottering around in it this summer:

Can confirm that A30/35/40s respond very well to sympathetic reversible upgrades from the BMC stable and can go like stink. And that's an earlier one with the panel ribbing. Get it bought Father. You won't regret it.

That's cheap for one of them, even in today's market!

James Hunt famously owned one.

Just looked up the Merc and it's still very much alive. Logged as a 6.9 litre too - just spotted this on the bootlid. I guess it was a fruity alternative to the A35 if Hunt fancied some half decent power on tap. What's the spec- I assume it's a v8?

Anything with James Hunt on the V5 history, I'd be very surprised if it ever died. At least in our living memories.

I read somewhere that James Hunt drove his A35 specifically to keep his driving licence clean as it was impossible to speed in it (NSL obvs).

I’ll make a big update to this thread when I get the time, but in the meantime I’ll just drop this in here. I couldn’t turn it down:

So I’m spinning around in this now. It’s…very crap. I’m struggling to find positive words, but it’s endearing. I wish I could say more!

Proper an car. Size of the wheels in proportion are comical. But I'd bet it'll go on forever just doing the job it was designed for. What's not to like about the little bus?

I have created a thread about South American taxis here and these cars are popular taxis there with mileages close to a million km.

This is what we are missing now. Basic cars for folk who just want to get for a to b with minimum fuss. I've seen the thread and know what you mean.

Here's something positive - the name Atoz wasn't some random selection from a name generating computer, it actually means 'A to Z'. It's an car designed to get you from A to Z, geddit?

(soz, doesn't look like they do one for Eire)

Those Korean lads do like a play on words, for example  -

Tivoli = I love it (backwards)

Korando = Korea can do

Boss at an old job had one of these as a run around. Named "The Pea" due to the pea green colour. He loved it, and he had all sorts of expensive conveyance in the garage.

It looks like it is up for the job it was meant for, a cheap little car, just right for taking the kids to school, going to the shops and delivering granny to bingo and church.
