Vince70 Posted March 8, 2023 Share Posted March 8, 2023 I’ve really got to make a decision as I think 6 cars really is enough for one person, So I’ve made my choice between My Poverty Punto and my Mini Cooper. I bought the lovely little Mk1 Punto on whim with 49000 on the clock and it’s a real gem and being poverty spec it suits me down to the ground. I bought it with a short mot in pogweasle pink and changed the cam cover gasket and gave it a mop and it’s come up beautiful and went through the mot advisory free and it’s even like new underneath. Then I have my early R50 which is also a lovely rust feee example, but it rattles a bit when it hits a pothole like most , and that has done 97000 miles now, and has about 9 months mot on it and it has the usual advisory for brake lines covered in grease last MOT. The rest of the fleet are a convertible Golf on 79000 and a V5 Golf auto on 89000 plus and E36 Ti with 65000 on the clock, plus a Z3 with the same mileage. All are in lovely condition. The little 13 inch wheels make it nice and light and the 60bhp fire engine loves being revved. I picked it up on a whim about 4/5 years ago now and it was a fun drive back without headlights indicators or wipers in the pouring rain from Just Tunbridge Wells lol.
