This is unusual because I think it is mostly made of chocolate 🍫

An automatic Fiesta?  That's got to count as 'specialist' material, surely...  Nice thing, though, and I have always liked the ones with clear plastic grilles.  What engine is in there?

1.25 Zetec. Luckily it’s not the 1.3 push rod 😮💨

Is that a Ghia?  Very nice.

1.25 Zetec is a fab engine; my mother had a Fiesta so equipped, albeit manual, which was very nippy.  Totally reliable, too.

There's nothing wrong with the 1.3 pushrod engine, I've had one.  Nothing right with it either, mind.

Phwoar, well bought. Best* Fiesta they ever made.

I imagine it's hilarious hustling that zingy Yamaha engine attached to a slushmatic.

You are living the Ghia dream with the "wood". I didn't know it extended to the radio too, ace. I have to stare at painted silver in my Puma.

*Little bit dissolvey though.

Brother used to have one, I took it to Northern Powerhouse once. Notorious for chocolate gearboxes as previously mentioned. His died because of rust and continuous minor faults especially in his case door locks.

Funnily enough the central locking unlocks but doesn’t lock again and all the way back I had the yellow dash light on to say I had a door open even after I pulled over and slammed them all shut including the boot 🤷🏻‍♂️

sweet fucking jesus there's a Fez left running with the 1.25 and CVT? those were the worst gearbox in the entire fucking universe.
my mum had a P reg Diamond White 3 door 1.25 LX CVT she bought ex-Motability at 3 years old with hardly any miles on it, less than 20k.
Purple interior...
it was fucking shit, got crashed into twice, kettled itself on the M1 on Christmas Day 2006 halfway to London in because it was overloaded (why we didn't use my dad's 190E for that trip I've no clue), and before it hit 50k the gearbox had failed THREE TIMES, the only reason we kept it was not being able to find a suitable small auto replacement, as my mum really didn't want a 6N Polo for some reason... and  when the box failed a third time she ended up with a 9N Polo. No fucker wanted to take it on PX at all, it was well known how shit they were.

That's flipping fantastic,  early one on the N as well.

I was going to ask if you had proof that it wasn't 129k miles (or 239k) but then the CVT boxes apparently don't have that sort of longevity so it must be genuine. Unless the service history offers evidence to the contrary?

Yeh, it’s a true survivor with the auto box which is why I had to have it, but I also know that it could shit itself on me at any moment.  And the likelihood of me finding another auto box is zero 😨

That’s a nice purchase, bonus points for a heroic journey from Scotland to Devon at some point in its life.

I had one of these in LX flavour, a very early (Nov ‘95) build, with keep fit windows before they became a standard fitment in early 1996.

According to Ford Etis, build date on yours is 13/3/1996.

I had a 3year old  P-reg 1.25lx when I was at uni, and put about 20k on it in 2years.

Went really well and decent economy but no frills, so keep fit windows, locks and steering.

But still felt luxurious compared with the N-reg Clio 1.9d rl prima I had before that.

Replaced the fiesta with a 3year old 306 1.4 vivant special edition with Aircon and 26k on it which I still miss.

Looks exactly the same as my father in laws 1.25 CVT only his is badged as a Mazda 121

Funny, his has the same mileage..

It's soon going to be available if someone else fancies spoiling themselves

They are quite entertaining to drive and do go surprisingly well

Good luck with it
