Or am I missing something obvious 😆 It's a combination of the housing style (1930-s era terraced/semis) on hilly streets - Paignton/Torquay seems to have a huge amount of them whereas Newton Abott doesn't (nor Brixham) so I think it was the railway/seaside combination back in the day?
