NEC Classic car show pics... but mostly the shite bits. Completed it M8.

So, time for the NEC classic motor show yet again. Here for all three days - I personally love the event, but if I didn't get in for free due to helping out on one of the stands, I dare say I'd love it a lot less. Prices are... spicy to say the least.

Anywho, all that aside, I've tried to take some photos with a more AS twist, forgoing the big ticket stuff and the historics. To begin...

... and that's it for the moment.

Now, the interesting bit - I'm here again tomorrow and rather than blindly fumbling about trying to guess what people would like pics of, I'm throwing it open to you lot. What would you like to see? I need to do hall 8 tomorrow which is where all the Fords are (don't worry blue oval fans, I haven't forgotten about you!) but beyond that I'm open to reasonable requests. :)

Want to see the exotica? More detail on something you've seen here? Stick a post in here and I'll see what I can do.

  • Soundwave changed the title to NEC Classic car show pics... but just the shite bits? You decide what's next!

That's jolly decent of you. Thanks for the pics so far. Makes me feel like I'm there. Personally I'd like Skoda and any other East European stuff, MX5 (yes I know yawn boring), Wolseley esp 1500 (thanks for the Riley btw, it's lovely), Merc. Ta.

Glad to see you consider SAABs exotica! :-)

Actually they're in the "they still had covers on when I went past their stand and I never went back later in the day" category.

A far more exclusive classification than exotica. :D

Oooooooh.... Bestill my beating heart

That is just lovely, serious trouser tentage for this....

I grabbed the Forester today and rolled past the NEC. Did think of heading in but it was such a lovely day and I was enjoying the boxer warble too much.....

Looks like I missed a good'un

Great pics Mr Sound wave.

I'm going to be at the NEC tomorrow as I have to take the girls to Comic con and I could duck out for a couple of hours to have a look round this.  Is anyone else going?  I know Ian's there but he'll be run off his feet already.

I'm tempted to drive over in the Dacia, is it the sort of show where the carpark ends up being part of the show?  And if so which one of the 20 odd carparks?

Current favorites are either the railway station (£9) or Resort world as I'm having dinner there so it should be £2.50.

Great pics, thanks for sharing! I'm hoping to get back there next year. As for requests, any 70s/80s Hondas for me please. Though actually most 60s-80s stuff works, so don't stress.

Splendid pics, thank you!  So many cars there that I've owned when they were worthless!

Please please PLEASE tell me you're planning to shoot up close and personal with Deja Vu tomorrow?

Honestly, I wouldn't bother bringing a classic unless you really want to/have no alternative - the car parks are nowhere near the show itself and most people just bring their dailies as a result, myself included!

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I can’t make it there this year. I understand everything is shifted around a bit this year. If you happen to be around the Citroen stands a few (or a lot of) pictures of the Traction Avants would be appreciated.

And anything American.

And the Friskys.

thanks.
