pompei
I was disappointed that it wasn't a Russian wives dating site but that is one of the best collections of strange metal I have ever seen. Gone straight into my Favourites. The best one for me is the cool dudes in the open top Lada - looks like they just went at it with an angle grinder
binhoker668
Got to be the most repugnant piece of deformed metal that I have seen in a long time.Skoda based yah?Skoda front lights anyway....Bleeeaarrrgghhh.....
bigstraight6
Oh my Lords! there's some fantastic stuff on that site, its now in my 'Favourites'
Adrian_pt
Very arousing. Not Skoda-based actually, but a ZAZ on a LuAZ chassis and with a LuAZ front end. The Lada pickups there, with the welded-up rear doors, are actually factory models, produced (and unpopular) for a couple of years in the 90s. I think the Samara cabrio might be a factory limited series model too. Ingenious...
Volksy
Awesome tat-site find.. This is my fave... Samara faux-Landulet le-sabre thing!
Milford Cubicle
Those LuAZs are wonderful, thanks for alerting us to them Adrian. Like a Soviet Steyr-Puch Haflinger.
Sid
That Samara thing almost works, with a bash from the design stick it'd probably have sold well!
55bloke
It's a vastly over-used word, but that really is, amazing!!

Richard
This is my favourite. Is that the back end of a Mk3 Escort van? Is it a no wheel drive?
Adrian_pt
Matt black thing is Samara based. The Multipla lookalike is closer than you think - it's based on a Zaporojhetz (sp?!), which originally started out making a model very heavily based on the Fiat 600. This is a later model (968 I think) which normally looks very much like a Prinz, and is still rear-engined. The green hybrid was once an IZH. IZH made hatchback, van and pick-up versions of the Moskvich 408/412/1500 series. I also thought the back was a Mk 3 Escort, but it could also be an early Astra/Kadett van. Looks a bit more angular if you see what I mean. How many points do I get?!
bigstraight6
How many points do I get?!Jeez, several thousand points out of 10 for you're superior Iron Bloc tat knowledge
pogweasel
None, because it clearly IS the arse end of an escort van. Casting doubt upon it strips all previous points.
outlaw118
Whatever it is, it's the epitome of SHIIIIIIITE (to be sneered in a Liam Gallagher type of way)....
Adrian_pt
Google search comfirms Escortiness. Gin frazzles the brain; apologies. On a similar note, here's a collection of pre-war Euroshite in glorious messed-up condition. It's not that they've been left to rot in a barn for the lasg 50 years, just that they've been kept going with the help of glorious bodges. Most of them would have still been on the road after the collapse of the Iron Curtain ... I love the tractor wheels, the Volga bumpers and the disgracefully awkward tail lights; my favourite, though, has to be the Hebmuller Admiral cabriolet which was just welded up....http://samohod.com.ua/collection/zarubej.htm
pompei
Tatras 87 and 97 for me please - look like something out of Dan Dare. I'd seriously prostitute myself for either

andrewp
Lada definitely missed a trick here, how much more practical would this be for dropping Tarquin and Tara off at school as opposed to struggling out the back of the A4 Cabrio.
MrRegieRitmo
Surely notI was thinking more Ital
MrRegieRitmo
I love this because it has a hint of Simca 1100 VF2 about it.....wish I could see the rear angle! This also appeals for sheer tastefulness! But the hands down winner has to be the Lada M-Sport!
