RoverFolkUs
If it's an Auto I'm not surprised at the price to be honest. A 2011 low mileage petrol automatic is easily a £5k car at the moment I know that is absolutely ABSURD money for a Fusion, but that's the current market for you This tool isn't bang on, but it's usually pretty close: No easy way of telling online if it's manual or automatic though I believe? The factory emissions usually a good indicator on a car of that age. Tax will be higher. RoverFolkUs

RoverFolkUs
'kinell The Autotrader price indicator is usually an accurate representation of market value and is what most dealers base their price on. Silver is a manual, Black is an Auto. Both low mileage
sierraman
There’s not a cat in hells chance I’d give £5k on a Fusion. beko1987 and RoverFolkUs
RoverFolkUs
Me neither! Some daft mug probably will though, 2011 ish Corsa D's and MK7 Fiestas still change hands for £5-6k if they're low miles and Auto. Utter madness. Though if I was paying £5k for a choice between a Fusion and a MK7 Fiesta, I would go for the Fiesta all day everyday. The Fusion came along in 2002... £5k for a car developed 20 years ago! I don't think I'd pay a grand for a Fusion no matter the miles. They're pretty shit and the automotive equivalent of buying Asda smart price porridge oats...

RoverFolkUs
That's the confused.com car valuation website. No email address required unlike literally every other valuation tool It has its inaccuracies but it usually gives an about right ballpark figure
Timewaster
Yes. To me that is a £1500 car all day long. Might explain why I've not bought a car for ages. beko1987
Matty
Tbf smallish petrol autos have carried a premium for years now. Nothing new. Bit of a captive audience
AxWomble
The auto premium is real - a small (25 cars maybe) dealer round her recently sold a 2002 ish Alto Auto for 4 grand! We drove past in the morning and I said “that price is a joke, surely?” and it had been sold by the afternoon. Crazy!
