Oh dear. Lack of talent destroys rare classic. "I put big wheels on it. It should handle like an F1 car!"

Anyway, how's about this?

Well historied 19 Chamade in TSE spec. Few issues (including clutch not disengaging) but seems great for £300. It's in Ipswich. Get it bought Trig!

This seems like more of a bargain.

11months mot for £675 ono.

You might be able to drive that home for £600 ( I say "might" as your route may involve corners.)

Mk2 3 door Sierra. This ones LHD, which is probably why I've never seen one before.

I believe they were created for the Euro market. Larger 2-door cars don't seem to sell too well in the UK unless they're posh-spec (Alvis, Jensen, etc). The family market likes more doors. Apparently this applies (or used to) rather less sur le continong, which is why Sierras and even Mk2 Cavaliers were available in backbreaker spec.

I had an early mk2 Cav with only 2 doors. Bought in a probate sale in about 1991 from the estate of a former Vauxhall employee. It was fitted with just about every extra in the Vauxhall Opel accessory catalogue. The only non GM extra it came with was the owners ghost. True.

Bloody Hell WTC,

You ARE Derek Acorah and I claim my free journey in your (most) haunted vehicle;

(Bagsy first dibs on making Yvette Fielding feel the presence enter her)

If anyone's going to be putting willies up Yvette it's gonna be me pal!

I'm serious about the Cav being haunted though. Even the bloke I sold it to agreed it was haunted when I bumped into him a month later.

Fair enough, Your haunted Motor, Your Rules!!

Without being too much of a nosey bastard, what led you to believe a mk2 cav was 'from the other side' *

* NOT a reference to Ellesmere Port

Occasional glimpses of a person in the rear view mirror when the back seat was empty.... Coupled with the tap on the shoulder.

It was refusing to be MOT'd as well, numerous minor electrical faults when I presented it that mysteriously disappeared when it was on the road, mind you that's not that unusual on a 10 year old Vauxhall.

Come to think of it I once had an a close encounter with an alien space ship in my E30 BMW. I was driving along and a bright beam of light shone down on the car knocking all the electrics out and mysteriously the odometer started winding back about 60,000 miles . The creatures from outer space didn't harm me but they did take the last five pages out of the service history to take back to their leader for some reason. 8)

Ohmygodohmygodohmygod. Splurge.

"Fitted phone will require sim."

Gadzooks, what a frickin' machine. What a shame my Grandad didn't have one of those stashed in his garage, rather than an 825Si.

Gift horse, mouth etc.

This is my mother-in-laws old banger.

Some people wouldn't know class if it came up and bit them on the arse.

This sold for £165. I e-mailed the vendor for more and better pictures; the reply was "NO!". Not surprising seeing as he gushed on about the two silver German prick-extensions he was also flogging, the snobbish tit.
