M'coli
Pity that Alfa has collapsed suspension and no bumpers. I think the Alfa looks well as it is, probably because it's on Revolution RFX wheels.
wuvvum
Delightfully scruffy early Justy. I can confirm that these things are GR9 in the snow.
Guest Leonard Hatred
Mk1s are supposed to be a little less rot-prone too, would be a shame to see another old Subaru end up as some farm/off road hack.
Louise2cv
A friend of mine is/was thinking of buying that 'tina. He got to the confirm bid page a couple of time I think! I encouraged him as much as poss.
dollywobbler
Well, that's what friends are for aren't they Louise? That beige Ami Super is FANTASTIC and I'd love it, even if the gearlever is down by your ankle. Very peculiar! Very Citroen.
Pete-M
Bloody hellfire, it's got proper GLS Recaros, a four branch manifold and appears to be a good'un other than needing a lot of paint and TLC. The Ashley exhaust is a bad thing though. Noisy as foooook. Put a proper Cortina airbox back on it and a 2.0 exhaust (keep the 4 branch..) and it'll be much nicer. Fitting the GLS clocks is an hours work, tops. Swap a few wires round and add the tacho feed. Easy. If it wasn't for the bloody 604, I'd be bidding on that. Shep Shepherd
That Cortina was registered on my fifth birthday If it was one colour all-over, I'd be very interested in it

And it was at least two colours (where it shouldn't be), so I had it resprayed. Here's the Before (mine's the green one)...and here's the After:In the first pic, the other car is indeed wearing panels off the same car that donated my NSF door. THIS is recycling! I remember seeing quite a few Cortinas and Granadas in the same hue, as well as plenty sporting mismatched panels from scrapped cars. You don't really see the latter very much now... brammy777
Sadly I am too young to remember battered Cortinas on the streets, the hard kid at my primary school was dropped off in a manky MKIII Granada which got gradually worse as the year went on. eddyramrod
Nice colour. I remember seeing quite a few Cortinas and Granadas in the same hue Thank you Shep. It's Peppermint Green, which was never officially issued on the Mk5, but I chose it having passed my test in a Peppermint Mk1 Fiesta. I might use it again on a restoration over here too, I still like it. A contributory factor was that my lush triple-black Princess had just been destroyed (in daylight) by a lad who said "sorry, I didn't see you." Obviously that went on the claim form... So I thought I'd better have something he CAN see this time! It was certainly issued on Mk2 Escorts, Mk2 and 3 Capris, Mk4 Tinas... I don't remember seeing it on any Granadas, but I'm sure one will pop up on ebay to prove me wrong.

In the late 1980s, there was a 1980 Granada Ghia saloon in Peppermint Green on an estate not far from where I lived in Kent. It had a black vinyl roof and looked the absolute business You had a triple-black Princess? Lucky sod!

My Capri was Evergreen before it was painted red, a very long time ago. It's quite possible the new owner will return it to original, I haven't seen it for weeks. Can't remember the last time I ever saw one sporting a bodykit. My much-missed Mk2 Granada 2.8 injection had the mega-rare RS bodykit, which I removed promptly and chucked in the bin as it was fugly. Even though I'm a Ford anorak, the optional RS bodykits are something I've never been a fan of. I don't regret ripping that kit off, even though there's probably a German Granada freak who'd pay billions in *'OSF Tax' for it. Same kit as this; *OSF tax is merely paying for the bits you really want
