I  these MG Farinas. To carry on the MGB Saloon theme, this one even has an MGB engine, with a bottom end death rattle

!B2E(Zc!EGk~$(KGrHqYOKjoE)NLnO2uoBMg+Ld,f4g~~_12.JPG

I think some Rostyle wheels would suit this well, the cad's car when he's fallen on hard times and can't afford a Rover P5. Pass me the trilby hat :D

Wonder if this is a viable daily driver? Does it have a heater and demister?

That Lada estate is the same colour as the saloon my grandad had (DWY 403Y).

The orange Corolla 30 would attract a lot of interest here, wonder if it's as rot free as it looks.

I do like the idea of a hotted up Magnette Q-car though I think I'd want a ZB. Is MGB tune the hottest you can go or is there a stage further?

My bank manager is very relieved that most of the posts in this thread are too far away to tempt me seriously.

This on the other hand...

I'm liking the Slovakian shite-market. Check out these "hot ponuky"!

I always think of these as the last of the truly shite Skodas. 47k km, €150

Obviously spoilt for choice with these marginally less shite fellers and their near relatives:

€165.

Tasty Regata diesel for €200.

Christ, these are ugly fuckers. Colour obviously doesn't help this example, and old smiler there isn't even giving you an engine. Then again, it is only €250.

This looks top for €300. What enormous pool of oil?

I kind of went off these after seeing a dead man hanging out of one a few years ago in Poland. But hey-ho - this one's really shiny and cheap! €300

Get in there! It's what Roy Axe would have wanted.

€300.

Cortina 1.6 with autobox FTW. I know the value in Cortina's seems to be going up but £1,750 BIN seems a bit much!

Is the 2.8 really so much difference? I bet it still wafts along nicely enough!

I know you're very much in the 'No replacement for displacement' camp, but a 5-litre Vauxhall seems somewhat excessive...

I had a 3.0 Monza years ago and it was a nice thing, but slightly underpowered for my tastes, and the 2.8 is 25 bhp down or thereabouts.

Then there's the injection v carb thing. I like injection. It's simple, it's reliable, produces more power and tends to use less fuel so a 3.0 would quite probably be better on fuel after 30 odd years.

Excessive? I'll have to look that one up.

Oh no that carlton is far too close and far too cheap...

Tin plate Sercks, manual 5 speed 1.8 and local for under £300? Get it got - don't even think about it! Would even make a nice family car...

This car epitomises Autoshite!

Another of those loveliest Ladas - €400. (For the record, most of these come with lengthy Slovak-grade MOTs... this one until 2012!)
