MrRegieRitmo
A pity Rosie has left Heartbeat - best thing in it she was! Interesting shot that one with your car....
Mr Lobster
The Minor Traveller looks like a restoration for a very brave person although the actual panels don't look too bad, just the woodwork very rotten though you can probably imagine the horrors that lurk within. mk2_craig
Date of first reg that late suggests an import from somewhere surely? Or perhaps a "barn find" that was untaxed during the period DVLA computerised

AXrescuer
Of course, to see it, we were in Heartbeat country, so had to shoot these! C.P.T.C. anyone?Wonder when these last moved, and if they ever will again?Beyond help?On our way home, we passed this- forgive 53 Babe's poor photographic skills!! That's Goathland isn't it? I see they're now using the 'Aidensfield' name on the shop now. We went there a few years back, lovely place as I recall.
M'coli
Thanks for the link to the DVLA thing - put my cars' numbers through it, as you do, to find out I forgot to SORN the Metro...
55bloke
Yes AXrescuer, Goathland indeed. A lovely place, as you say. I lived in the area for 20 odd years, and miss it now I'm in Sheffield. Can't blame them for milking the Adensfield connection, the place is crawling with tourists. Was always popular, thanks to the N.Y.M.R., but Heartbeat has turned it into a huge attraction. Mercifully, it hasn't yet spoiled the area's beauty.
Jazzy Jeff
Beautiful, as long as you avoid looking in the direction of the giant Cold War Deathstar Pyramid of doom that overlooks the place.
55bloke
Yes, hideous, isn't it? Funny thing is though, when the famous "golf balls" were 1st put up, everyone was outraged by what a blot on the landscape they were but, when they knocked them down to replace them with the above, those same people were outraged that an iconic symbol of North Yorkshire should be destroyed. Fickle lot, aren't we?
Mash
I used to love the golf balls, that concrete monstrosity is hideous. Isn't there a cluster of all sorts of sized balls somewhere else in North Yorkshire IIRC?Scuppered the Heartbeat filming too - they used to have quite a few scenic shots with them in the background but now they can't!!
