Rude, eccentric and allergic to men: The Bentley Girls who revolutionised British motor racing

"Rude, Eccentric, Allergic To Men; the Bentley Girls who revolutionised motor racing" I believe was the caption in The Telegraph.

Also:  "The dazzling Bentley Boys roared through the 1920s, breaking records and hearts with their speed and glamour. From circuit to circuit they were pursued by a retinue of female admirers as they burnished the Bentley brand.

But two remarkable women would also play a very special part in Bentley’s heritage, both of them much more interested in speed than men..."

"...fast-living, aristocratic women."

Members of the aristocracy.  Check. Unlimited access to 4 1/2 liter Bentleys. Check. Hideously wealthy. Check. Where were these girls when I was 23 years old?  No doubt all I lacked was the '28 Bentley "Bobtail" I see around here all the time & an ice bucket full of Rothschild's champagne to whisk them away!
