Too many flash backs serving my time as an apprentice in a Lada garage in the central belt, I love old cars but I would rather have a un-lubed pineapple 🍍 shoved up my rear end than go anywhere near that.

That’s absolutely stunning!

I think so too. It even has original registration plates still. I guess it had an older owner from new and the HS plates come from an area where the cars rusted little. So this is probably the reason why it has survived and in such good condition.

This one is too expensive for this thread but I want to share it as this is a dream car for me. This is a 1940 Plymouth P10 sedan that has been in Norway since new. Just imagine everything this car has experienced 5 years of war, life as the main car/daily for someone through the 40's 50's and 60's and possibly even the 70's and it has managed to survive. These are durable and hardy cars and they had a long lifes here in Norway.

The current owner has owned it since 1979 and unfortunately has to sell now due to his age. And he is struggling to sell it as few seems to want cars like this just a shame it is too expensive for me 9900 pounds.

Might as well post a sibling to the Plymouth above. 1940 Dodge D14 also been in Norway since new and is almost identical to the Plymouth above. 17200 pounds.

And these are such beautiful cars.

The engine in this and the Plymouth above is a flat head straight 6 which is known to be very durable and reliable. These are engines that after standing for decades can start with often minimal work and run as well as the day they were parked.

Scott from the Cold War motors youtube channel recently bought one of these and got it going after sitting for many decades.

1994 Skoda Favorit 1.3 LX with just over 98,000km 2118 pounds. I would have liked to have this, but I would throw the rims away and put on original steel rims. The front wings have also been changed and have not been painted in the same colour, which is a bit annoying but apart from this this is a great car.

1928 Ford model A which was in use until 1972 and then parked. So it was in use for 44 years and was once converted to a pick up. These cars had very long lifes here so this is not unusual, but it must have stood out in traffic in the early 1970s. The engine is not stuck and it probably doesn't need much to get back on the road 3319 pounds.

I love this! Cool period conversion and doesn't seem expensive for what appears to be a fairly complete car.

Yes it's not that expensive, but there is one thing that the seller doesnt  mentions that can cause problems and that's registration papers. If these are missing it will probably be difficult to get it on the road again. So that can be the reason for the low price.
