1963 Vauxhall Victor super 1.5 138,000 km with little rust. This has K registration plates, which indicates that it was sold new in the far south of Norway. It is now in the mountains in Norway where there is no road salt so the seller has used it daily this winter and says it is very reliable, easy to start and with a good heater 3700 punds.

When I was a kid my next door neighbour had one of those in a sort of dirty salmon pink. I am still baffled as to why.

1986 Opel Rekord GL 2L petrol 299,000km 730 pounds needs some welding and work. And this evokes memories my sister was in school class with a pretty girl where her mother had a very similar Record only it was the diesel version. Her mother was also very attractive.

My uncle's girlfriend's dad had one like that as a company car. He must have done something right as his next company car was a Honda NSX!

It was a company car. The thought that he was a lousy salesman and got it as punishment did not hold up because he often got to use his bosses Mk9 Jag at the weekends.

This is a little strange because one would think that a company must have had a good reason to buy it in pink as it would not have such good after-sales value. So maybe it was used for some advertising?

I have plans to buy another vehicle this year. And considering buying a van and making a camper. And is tempting with an MB Sprinter as there are often several of these for sale here cheap with high mileage like these.

2008 Sprinter 318 620.000km 4800 punds

2009 Sprinter 662.000km this is actually petrol and natural gas, I think I would have preferred the diesel version 6400 punds

2007 Sprinter 568.000km  4700 punds

But the strangest of these is this 2010 Sprinter with 816,000km it seems to have been prisoner transport? after how it looks inside and the price is  12,200 punds which is too much.

But the sensible choice might have been a Toyota Hiace if I could live with less space and less driving comfort this is a 2008 with 560,000km and AWD 6500 punds

Which suggests that it is factory.  I'm sure I've seen them that colour anyway.  They did some beautiful shades in those days, such a contrast to now.

I don’t think you can get more 1997 New Labour than the flat purple they did them in. Bonus points if it’s a 1.8TD.

I bet those chassis legs are corroded to fuck on that. If you could weld it up satisfactorily then it’s got potential.

That had not surprised me. It is an old expression here that all cars rust but Opel has the Record (Rekord).

Of all things a 1963 Holden has come up for sale in Norway. According to the seller, this was imported from South Africa to Norway in 1963. Could not have been easy to get parts for this over the years. 10,900 punds.
