Had a girlfriend like that once too....

He's driven over a plank with a couple of nails sticking out and punctured close to the side wall?

It’s NSF and OSR now running budgets so unless he ran over something at a funny angle I’m guessing he’s somehow ended up with two separate punctures! No idea, I’ll sort it eventually.

First thing is to get all the shocks swapped for the nice new matching Sachs items with new top mounts etc, get it 4 wheel aligned then see what the shaking is like. The wheel balancing didn’t help, prop donuts both look fine, no bushes seem to have drastic play.

I’ll sort it, it’s not violent but enough to make me want to sort it.

I've learnt something here.

I have a reg I thought nothing about, but maybe I should retain it as I did find it easy to remember.

I can then sell my StreetKA for £250 less using man maths, despite the fact it will cost me £80 plus a new set of plates.

What is this fantastic reg you may ask?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is a phenomenal engine, in what will be a future sought after car. I had. 640D MSport Coupe with a map and it was an absolute weapon.

Your 335D will be more torquey and as quick as an M3 of the same vintage plus twice as economical when driven with passion.

Did the rears today, im too old for this shit. My knees hurt, my shoulders hurt and I’m tired 😂

Slight issue in that I thought the car was lowered before, however the suspension I removed was OEM M sport springs and sachs shocks.

I’ve fitted springs that apparently lower the rear 25mm and front 40mm

This is how the rear sits fresh off the jack so hopefully it doesn’t settle too much lower as that’s not what I want.

I might just pay to have the fronts done as I just can’t bothered!

Excuse the instagram caption, I can’t seem to get rid of it!

Did the front shocks/springs/top mounts today. Used all new genuine BMW rubber spring seats and washers etc to give it a proper refresh.

Just need to book a 4 wheel alignment now and decide whether to get the wheels refurbished or get some different ones altogether.

Just booked Hunter alignment at Aaron Reeve in kings lynn as he’s a BMW specialist, £120, I haven’t had a hunter alignment done for years but Jesus it’s gone up in price. Was half that the last time I had it done.

Issue is I’m restricted on where I can go as it’s too low for a lot of places. Had the wheels balanced at Formula 1 the other week and mentioned it then, he couldn’t even get the machine on the wheel as there wasn’t enough arch gap.

Tbf jj I'm amazed you've still got it 😄

The Labrador situation may ruin this, I didn’t expect to be getting one and I’m not sure how it’s going to work in a coupe 😂

Ive got probably 6 months before he’s too big for it so will have to try and make it work if not il need to swap it for a touring I guess!

So we (Mrs JJ, me, the 2 pugs and the lab) went out in this all together yesterday.

Theres no way at all once’s Rodney gets bigger that it’s going to be viable to have a coupe. He’s OK for now as he curls up in the footwell and the pugs have seatbelt clips for the two rear seats, but the lab will have nowhere to go before long as he’s a growing lad!

I think before long my hand is going to be forced which is a shame as I really do love the E92.

Need an estate but not really sure what to go for, I feel like the desire for something particularly nice is wearing off. Probably because for some reason the e92 seems to attract a hell of a lot of youngsters trying to race me, or groups of them stopping and looking round it if I happen to park on a retail park to eat my lunch 😂

Maybe just a standard car like an A4 / A6 avant, Volvo V60 possibly.

Can’t really be bothered with the hassle yet and two of my wheels keep losing pressure but no cracks so I might just pick another set of wheels up as I’ve taken it in twice to have them checked/resealed but they still keep going down gradually.

Nice but I’ll only have probably £6500 to spend, and I want something a bit easier on fuel - at least 40ish+ MPG ideally.

To be honest I quite fancy something a bit more plain and simple, been looking at A4/A6 Avants too. Not sure really, quite fancy a change from BMW too.

After  the  BMW I think you will sorely regret moving  to Audi and Volvo, both myself and my stepfather did the same several years ago and are both back in BMW’s.

maybe left field but one for the consideration pile is a mini countryman, my girlfriend had a diesel one which I had mapped and it was economical, quick in sports mode when you wanted to have fun and had room for the dogs also. I sold it to a friend who has just had it serviced at 123K and loves it!

Fancy a Ovlov 940? 24 mpg but is very, very, very simple.
Only kidding, I'm hanging onto this one but....

Mini Countryman - I'd have a punt at one of those even if you just want to itch a Bini scratch  - it's kind of not-quite-a-BMW-but still is if you get my drift.
If you're stuck on Big and Wafty then the Toe-rag may be worth a punt but maybe another Jag (unless you're totally off those)?

I couldn’t ever have another Mini after ambers R56, also assuming the only derv would be N47 in a countryman which I’m just not interested in these days, too much anxiety!

Im not sure what I’ll end up doing, bar sticking with a BMW touring there’s not much other than Audi/Volvo that takes my fancy tbh

We get our Lab in the back of the XF fine, plenty of room, she plugs into the seatbelt and the rear seat hammock I bought is brilliant.

It was only 25 quid, is waterproof, has a see through vent par so she can see between the seats, and it protects the rear seats, door cards and front seat backs.

A saloon is easily doable, might struggle with the in/out bit in a couple though I guess.

I’ve actually got one of those hammocks in the garage from when I had an e90 saloon.

The biggest issue is the amount of dogs in all honesty, at the minute we chuck 2 beds in the back of the e92 and the pugs have a bed each with a seatbelt lead clip. For now the lab goes in the front on ambers lap or he sleeps in her footwell. That is soon not going to work with the rate he’s growing!

She said just keep the e92 and we’ll use her Fiesta when we go out, the only thing with that is I work from home so the only time I really go out is with her and the dogs.. we’d end up never using the BM! So makes sense to at least look out for an estate or hatch with big boot.
