catsinthewelder
I'd assumed that Badgerline had been subsumed into First. Had a job in Weston Super Mare the other week and was happy to see a service bus proudly wearing the yellow and green colours.

Not sure if they are doing it fleet wide though. catsinthewelder
Lord Sterling
This is fantastic. Like yourself, but in a much slower way, I am trying to get as many West Mids/Shropshire/Worcs model busses as I can. Many though a VERY expensive and I just cannot justify the expense to myself. So far I have accumulated: The MCW bus was a tat-shop acquisition out in Tenbury Wells. (I need to visit again) The Leyland Lynx is a recent acquisition. This Merc bus is a Midland Red First bus and I think I spotted a similar bus at the Bewdley Steam Railway parked up under going some renovation (it had no livery, just plain grey primer iirc) I bought this from a charity shoppe in Stourport. Although it doesn't have a West Midlands destination, I forgive it seeing as National Express are based on Digbeth, Birmingham. Ok, so not Midlands at all, but I bought this as a place holder for any future acquisition of an actual Midland Red Leyland National. All the ones I looked at were heavily over-priced. I stuck a bid on this one and won as I just wanted a Leyland National model bus. Its up for swaps if anyone has a Midland Red Leyland National? As is this: Lancashire United bus. Bought with the National express coach above. However, there is scope to make into a Birmingham bus, but it'd be a shame to do away with the logos already present so its here if anyone has a Midland bus to swap. Cookiesouwest
I'm wishing I'd gone slower. For cost reasons but also now I've nearly finished, I will be at a bit of a loose end. Quite enjoyed tracking down the rare ones. Split_Pin
Cookiesouwest
The collection is complete. In fact I completed a couple of months ago. Due to life getting in the way, my diecast buying slowed to a trickle. Recently its ramped up thanks to @Datsuncog and the joys of ELA (Easy Live Auctions). Thought I should update the thread with the last four. 1st up - EFE 25213 Bristol RELL in NBC Green. I really like the NBC livery. Cookiesouwest
2nd up, is the second of the London Victoria Coach series that was a Bristol livery. EFE - 99714 Bristol RELH Coach in greyhound livery. 3rd up is EFE - 14004 Bristol FLF in the beautiful Cheltenham District livery. Finally, the same model, but with different advert. Produced by EFE as a code 2 for Classic Bus Heritage Trust. EFE - C14004 And thats the target list achieved. But it never stops there does it ..... warch, Datsuncog, andyberg and 1 other
Cookiesouwest
While perusing ebay, this came up cheap. Already had two, but a third wouldn't hurt EFE - 20602 Dennis Dart / Plaxton Pointer Then, also from ebay, a Corgi - 97860. A Bristol L5G in Bath Tramways livery. While perusing a tat shop, they had this for 12 quid. Had to be bought at that price. Love the EFE Olympian models. EFE - 29302 Leyland Olympian in Wilts and Dorset. Localish and really like the livery. And now I'm up to date. Till the postman arrives puddlethumper, RoadworkUK, Split_Pin and 5 others
Split_Pin
Excellent work in researching and tracking all these down chap! I've got just the one Badgerline model, N240KAE, from the famous St. George's Market, which I wanted because there are a lot of similar buses pictured in the excellent First Bus book which I think you have. Cookiesouwest
Next up will be Corgi / Oxford Diecast / CMNL and any models they issued in the Bristol / Bath liveries. I already have a few. In the meantime, to keep my addiction under control* I've bought a few at auction (as per Shite in Miniature II). Copied below 0On the way to Hexham yesterday, I took a slight* detour to Southport to collect two auction lots, I won last week. This came as a surprise to Mrs Cookie. I didn't tell her how much I had spent. First lot was 3 CMNL MB Citaro, that turned out to be 5! Always a good day when you get extra. The second lot was 10 CMNL, 7 Darts (ALX200) and 3 Scania omni. I bid on these lots, as each lot had a bus I wanted. If I can hide the amount I've spent, I will keep them, otherwise the ones I don't want will be heading off to the bay of e.
