V8 1 series

I'm guessing alot of you will have already seen this but I would love a go of this! 

 

I thought I'd scratched my BMW itch but I'd make an exception for that!

Years ago I remember reading about some German nutter who squeezed the BMW V12 into a Compact. Same sort of idea. Fun, but also lunacy.

A friend of mine; a motoring journalist drove that.

There are actually a ton of V8 swapped E30 out there so I'm not too surprised to see one in a 1-Series. And yeah, even V12 swapped E30 aren't as rare as you might expect, the engine isn't much longer than the i6s you'd get in them after all. Still anything but easy I bet.

bee ems have always had big engines, for a v8 you want a rover unit, but things like mgb's rot, so take your v8, box and back axle and bolt it to a non rotten mx5
