Spiny Norman
Now we know where Mazda got the idea for the RX-8 from. Love 6 wheeled CXs, from the sublime... ..to the preposterous.... The Fuego convertible reminded me of this 15 cabrio, not sure if it was a one-off or maybe a Heuliez thing... ..and while we're on the subject of 6 wheeler Froggy cars.... brammy777
Yes all of mine bar the W&P Metro have been Heuliez, some truly great work they did to french cars. The 405 saloon in particular, would have probably sold quite well I reckon. Weird how both 505 and 405 saloons were made into full working cars but never reached production, an oppurtunity missed? Have some more:One for you 25 pervs, this looks bloody lovely, and yes, at least one still exists and is absolutely mint. Heuliez preserve every single car they make....I think. We are talking shrink wrapped in a dry warehouse. I think this is meant to be a 5 MPV? or estate, but it looks pretty sharp if a little stretched on the wheelbase. Still exists. Doubt the 309 break would have worked as a car...........
VWPowered
dunno i quiet like that 309 should be GTi though

brammy777
Oh and speaking of Ford Capris, I know its not a true specialist conversion but the genuine X packs always looked a bit strange to me. I have an issue of CAR with a review of the MKIII version, but the interwebz doesnt seem to throw any pictures up. Trigger, you must have scans? r.welfare
I know I'm running the gauntlet with Milford Cubicle for reposting a picture, but that's Bjorn Waldegård next to the Capri. As a Ford rally works driver, I seem to recall he did some ads for the X-pack 3.1 Mk2 Capri and the X-pack RS2000. I agree that the bodykit looks pretty horrid though. Wasn't this Capri featured in early episodes of The Professionals as transport for Bodie N' Doyle?
Pete-M
I agree that the bodykit looks pretty horrid though. Wasn't this Capri featured in early episodes of The Professionals as transport for Bodie N' Doyle?Bodie had a brown / gold 3.0S X-pack Mk2, yup.I like X pack Capris if they're genuine ones. Don't like X-pack RS2000 Escorts. The Fiesta X-pack looked ok sometimes but was very colour dependant.

pogweasel
What the hell is that?Appears to be 33% granada, 33% Fiat 131, 33% land cruiser.
brammy777
A Sbarro Windhound. Okay only 12 were actually built so the odds are pretty low of any turning up anywhere in this country........... Heres the Windhawk, made specifically for one guy:
seth
What was Sbarro on? Am I the only one who thinks he had not a single ounce of design/aesthetic sense and just made utterly ridiculous contraptions? Often this could be seen as a good thing (in an ironic snese) but for some reason his creations don't manage to make that step for me.
brammy777
Yeh Sbarro was a nutty guy, the newer ones just look stupid. However they did have some really good output with some replicas of true classics such as this: I think some of his creations were for the rich arabs, so taste was going to be lacking in some areas from the outset there....[/img]

Spiny Norman
Franco Sbarro...what a complete certified 24 carat nutter, I love him! This one looks Cadillac based.... God alone knows what this was in its previous life. Quite like this. He's been messing around with these hubless wheels for a while now....
brammy777
That Six wheeler you posted is indeed a Cadillac, and was the Sbarro TAG. One of its primary purposes was to hold small meetings within it, which from looking at interior pictures, looks possible. Built for.............. yep you guessed it, the owner of TAG. Despite the OTTness of his work, Sbarro has made a reputation for extremely well finished work. But heres some more oddities, these ones being more home grown: I personally love this, shame they didnt really ever sell.....

IanF
Possibly a slip in to O/T but I love tuner specials which really completely bastidise a genuinely good car Another Sbarro creation Record number of Marina door handles on one car? This customer seemed to have decided against them This one looks like one of those old giffer elctric cars with the road up Loads of good shit here anyway http://www.1000sel.com/ Also, the Treser Liner - for the man who wants extra space in his Audi 100 but not an Avant Treser Hunter Treser T1 Treser T2 (both Golf based) And obviously everyones seen this before but still worth a look at - Treser Roadster Oh yeah, and Omar Bongo Ondimba's Stutz Royale

Clevtrev
Another of Glenfromes wacky Range Rover conversions. This one with what appears to be Mk1 Cavalier headlights. I recall seeing them at motorshows in the early 1980's
